Datel Action Replay Power Saves (Nintendo 2DS / 3DS XL / 3DS)

The product works great, it arrived on time and some hours earlier than expected. For those that say that it doesn't work bear in mind that this is region locked, make sure you're buying the right product, this one is for the EU, the pro version is for the US. I recommend this purchase although people should be aware that for now it still has a rather small list of games compatible with it, but the good thing is that is constantly updated with new material. Also for those people having errors make sure you put your serial code without any dashes ( - ), I had that problem and I figured it out. I also recommend not using the cable provided with it as it is a very generic cable and it can be very defective, I doubt it will damage the device but it is very annoying, I suggest using a PS3 controller cable or buying a new one at a local store.

I usually purchase one of these for each new Pokemon game release.The codes given are great for getting special items(and missed special pokemon),as well as loads more to blow your game wide open.The product itself can be broken easily however, if stored safely when not in use it should last you awhile.I will say that a strong Internet connection is needed in order for the codes to be downloaded from the website.ALWAYS back up your save file before use of the device.You'll only 'break' your game if you can't reset it to it's former state .Also,keep the booklet with your licence key as sometimes when the power save needs updating it wipes your code(So you'll need to retype it in).This item works well with Pokemon X/Y/Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby.A new power save,or an update to this one should be available when Pokemon Sun and moon are released.

well it is a good product and does do what id expect it too how ever its a lot morre complicated than older versions of tese types of things iv used. the reason i gave 4 stars is because of how complicated its made to be now and for the fact that after just one days use, the most important cheat to me, which is the one where you can get any pokemon by thowing away a few masterballs. now this cheat worked perfectly for just 1 day. now no matter what number i pick, every thing hatches as a bulbasaur. also i don''t know why but the 1st da i used it i was able to get all legends and i was able to trade/wondertrade them and now suddenly i cant. which has irritated me enough to give up on the powersave. I don't know how well it does with other games so i wont comment on any others but yes, few problems with pokemon cheats for alpha and omega.

For all you guys out there saying that the PowerSaves 3DS is faulty and doesn't work, your wrong! The only reasons why it won't read Animal Crossing or Pokémon X & Y is because them games uses NAND saving, which is more of a secure save file towards most of the 3DS titles but Datel found a way around them files so that the PowerSaves can work. But for some people might insert they're Pokémon X cart into the PowerSaves and the screen will spam with 'error loading cartridge' and 'no device found' or that there's no codes or PowerSaves, the reason why this happens is because you didn't type in a valid 'product key' and maybe your cartridge is filthy but it might look clean to you but trust me, you will never know how much dust particles are in there. Just get a cotton swab and pour a little drop of 'Rubbing alcohol' on the tip so that it's damp, then just rub the metal grids. If you don't have rubbing alcohol, you can use water and dry the swab with a towel so that it's fairly damp and rub the grids on the back. So you gotta make sure everything is perfect before use

So the way in which this device works is, you start a game save for example (Pokemon X) and progress through the game to a reasonable stage, for example you have seen at least one Pokemon centre and have access to Pokemart items in the first village. You boot this device up and you can select pre-installed cheats which you would like to activate and hit save; you cannot add any other codes. Your save information and selected cheats are uploaded onto Action Replays database, re-coded (adding the cheats you wanted) and resent down into your physical cartridge; basically enhancing your exact save, with the new things you requested. There is a back-up feature whereby it stores an exact copy of your current game save, so if anything goes wrong and your cartridge corrupts, you can just restore your old save before you tried to activate a bad or corrupted cheat (in theory). MY ISSUES with this device are: as with most cheat devices, they invest heavily on software, but throw together the cheapest, flimsiest physical crap I've ever seen. I've had to send this device back to Amazon for a full refund because the "once working" cheat device, began being insanely temperamental to the extent where I would waste minutes disconnecting and connecting the device into my computer until it actually worked. The cheat device is so poorly made, that I noticed that I would have to hold the physical device in a certain way so that my computer recognised it (this is not an issue that only I'm having, read other reviews). The cable they provide you is boarder-line garbage mass produced junk, and the plastic cheat device feels almost empty. There is clearly testing issues with these products which make a fantastic bit of kit, absolutely useless after a few uses. So my verdict is unfortunately mixed; I've obviously ordered another device and sent mine back (got a full refund, waiting for new one to arrive) - so obviously I like the device (WHEN IT WORKS), as the cheats are golden, making game progression a joke, giving you access to rare content and allowing you to safely store your saves onto your computer which is always a good thing (in case your cartridge goes missing, stolen etc). But you have to pray that you'll get a WORKING cheat device which lasts more than a couple days, mine went from working 80% of the time, to one week later only working about %10 of the time; to clarify, I mean the connection problem, it dosent detect the device even being plugged into your computer and you'll have to sit there un-plugging and re-plugging the device until it works, or worst case scenario it'll eventually be un-usable and you'll definitely have to return it.

Funziona con pokemon usum?! 2. Devo prendere la versione pro o basta la versione base?! Bene, con questa recensione risponderò a chi come me si è posto le stesse domande. Il power saves fondamentalmente è un pezzo di plastica, un pezzo di plastica che permette di estrarre e reinserire un salvataggio nella schedina di gioco. Il programma scaricabile dal sito invece è un programma in continuo aggiornamento dove periodicamente vengono aggiunti nuovi trucchi e nuovi giochi compatibili, quindi pokemon ultrasole e ultraluna vengono tranquillamente riconosciuti e supportati dal programma! (Come scritto nel sito ufficiale, quando si procede al download del software) •Pokemon• I codici sono in inglese ma sono facilmente identifiabili da tutti. Tra i vari codici possiamo trovare quelli per modificare la propria borsa: aggiungendo strumenti, soldi, bacche, punti lotta ecc... Quelli per modificare il personaggio: aggiungendo i vestiri, gli stili di lancio pokeball e addirittura cambiarlo da maschio a femmina. E infine, i trucchi per i pokemon: modifica iv, ev, shiny, clonazione, mosse, pokeball di cattura ecc... L’unica pecca è che non possono essere modificati i soprannomi e il nome allenatore del pokemon e che non si possono avere pokemon che non si hanno ma per apportare modifiche bisogna partire da una specie già esistende di quel pokemon. Rimane comunque uno strumento fantastico che permette di fare un sacco di cose per veramente pochi euro, consiglio comunque di non abusarne altrimenti si perde un po la voglia nel giocare.
