This is an excellent device for my son to take to school each day in his book bag. For the first couple of weeks it was a little difficult for him to open (He is 4) but with use the clasp has become less stiff and he can now open it easily. It washes well, and after 5 weeks of daily use it still looks like new. Be aware that you need to buy bananas that are the right shape and size to fit case as in the early days I hadn't appreciated that bananas could be too fat, straight or long! I am now 'sizeist' when purchasing bananas but joking aside, most 'normal' bananas fit in this case well.We have actually sent other fruit in this case too (berries and grapes) and because it is distinctive and labelled this always find its way back to use unlike the endless small tupperwares we have lost in the past.

Quite difficult for my child to open but keeps the banana from bruising which is the whole point.

I already have one of these but wanted another one for my daughter. She has taken mine as this one is very very stiff to open. I'm hoping it will ease with time. Its still a great product - you can squeeze most bananas into it! ..especially if u cut the stalk but off ;)

It's ok .not the best.i had a bad time trying to open it but I filed some of the plastic down so now it opens do much easier.if I hadn't had to do that it would have had probably five stars

This is really hard for me to open, my son would never be able to open it on his own at school which was the reason I purchased it, I just leave the top of it unclipped and he can open the bottom clip on his own. It does prevent banana from bruising which I'm really happy about cos he wouldn't eat his bananas if they had even the slightest of bruises!

I've always wanted a banana case, I just didn't realize it. I use this on group walks with Conwy Valley Ramblers, and it always gets a laugh at lunchtime. I bought two and they were posted from China. Why no UK stockist?
