Pleased with how functional the feeder is
Other reviews mentioned that the legs were not easy to insert and this let the product down. It has to be said that this is true - the plastic top of the legs do not fit smoothly into the bottom of the feeder - they don't go in totally straight - I think it is not deep enough to go in straight - and I was a bit worried that the whole thing might be a bit wobbly. However, despite recent storms the feeder has not fallen over so it is more sturdy than it looks. The lid is quite shallow however, it has notches in the bottom of it that you clip on to a little metal thing that spans the mouth of the feeder. It is then quite safe and again even with a lot of wind the lid has stayed in place. The other thing I like about it is that for some reason when it is raining heavily the water doesn't splash up on the side of the feeder unlike the other one I've got. Overall pleased with the product.

OK but could be improved cheaply
The legs detach themselves in situ and with help from my three hens. The feeder then falls over and scatters the contents in the run like a written invite to rodentd to join the party. I would also ssy that a wire handle to lift it up would be a useful design improvement. I made one myself using some straining wire. All round it is a good product and I may decide to glue the legs on with Gorrila glue or Araldite if it proves too much of a problem. Chickens seem to like it well enough especially when it tips over and they can scratch st the food! 🐓🐓🐓😇

Chicken Feeder
Had this feeder for some time now. Difficult to get the feet on, it took some pushing! The chickens used it at first, however, after the rats found the new food feeder, the rats had no trouble in actually eating the clear plastic away from the the food holes and just kept going at it until the holes were so big that they were eating all the chicken food. I have since stopped using this as it was no longer suitable as a chicken feeder.

No spills and weatherproof, recommended
We have tried several feeders for our girls and this is definitely the best. The feed is protected in inclement weather and it is sturdy enough to remain standing. The lid is tight fitting to prevent spillage, though this may make it a little difficult for some initially until you get the hang of it. Good value for money. Definitely recommend

Good but not for everyone
Legs difficult to attach. Warm the legs in warm water and they attach easier. My hens don’t like using it when pellets not full to top as won’t put beaks fully in. They are hybrid rescues. Good quality product

Zero Waste
Delighted with this feeder. I got it to replace my ground feeder as it was constantly being knocked over and contaminated with bark etc. Since using this in the coop there is zero mess and waste. Highly recommended. It did take a bit of effort to insert the legs, but once they are in they wont come out.

Brilliant. It keeps the feed completely dry (we've had some real downpours lately). And the legs keep the feed raised high enough to stop the hens kicking mud or poo into it. I also found the legs were coming off but I hadn't pushed them in hard enough. I got my stronger other half to push them on and now it's rock solid. I would definitely buy again.

Boil legs in water prior to fitting.
I liked this feeder due to the dividers, preventing chickens from flicking out. It’s sturdy and doesn’t tip over. TIP: when fitting legs, place legs in boiling water first, it stops them from falling off. Nice wide lid too to stop water
