I ordered these for brown sugar, powdered sugar, baking powder, oatmeal and teas.They are perfectly sized for the above items, but too small for 4lb bags of sugar and 5lb bags of flour.The order was for a pack of 6. The rim/lip of one of the containers was damaged/deformed so the lid would only clamp on 3 sides.The jagged edge was too smooth for it to have been broken in shipping (the box was not damaged and there was no broken piece in the box), so I'd surmise it was a manufacturing defect.Par for the course, Amazon was amazing with their customer support and remedied this situation.On all the other canisters, the lids clamp on firmly and securely. I washed them all before transferring my pantry products in them, so that was the perfect opportunity to test if they were water tight. They are.The canisters are not true rectangles. The bottom of the canisters are of a smaller diameter than the top are. This means that the sides flare out a bit from the bottoms to the top. What this translates into, is that when you place these side by side on the shelf, the tops abut each other but there is a gap toward the bottom of the canisters. That space allows room enough to slide your hand in to pull that canister out.This sounds like a minor detail, but I have a previous set of similar canisters that have sides that are vertically straight. Those line up perfectly like books on a shelf and getting one out means having to pull it forward by the lid flap because I can't grasp either side of it.I just received these so I cannot speak to durability, but they are air and water tight and serve my purpose perfectly.

I bought these after one of my spaghetti containers had a crack in it. Great for pantry organization and the size fits spaghetti noodles just fine. The seal seems pretty good and they are easy to open. They seem durable but time will tell!

This is the second pack I bought of this size. I am starting to make bread so need containers for flour. Work great easy to open and close. Perfect size for a bag of flout

UPDATE:I’ve been using these daily for over 2 years now, and not one has broken, cracked, etc. I know that some have said their cover snap broke off, but either theirs was defective, or most likely they didn’t have the cover placed properly before snapping the lid closed! If you have to force the snap into place, the cover is misaligned! Realign it so that it sits in place properly, then snap it closed. I’ve used mine hundreds of times so I know that if the snap doesn’t close easily, I don’t have it on straight! I have two sets and both sets are still working fine now! They keep food from going stale and are actually quite easy to get open and closed! They would work fine for those with Arthritis, RA, elderly, or just weak! It doesn’t take any strength to open or close, just make sure the lid is on straight m!I have 3 cats plus I feed about 5 cats outside, so I’m always getting food for one or more throughout the day! These containers make it a quick and easy process! They open and close quite easily, you just need to make sure you place the top on correctly (it’s easy but I think some people try to force it when it’s not on correctly). I’ve been using them for several months and haven’t had any problems with them! They keep the food airtight without being hard to open! Some containers are difficult to open and it’s a battle of wills to get them opened, but not these! You just pull the tabs and it releases, so even someone with arthritis could open these! I purchased a second set for my food!

I use these containers for cut up watermelon or melon. Fits perfectly in my refrigerator. Not too wide and/or too tall 👍🏻 It's very sturdy and the lid snaps on well.

I love these containers! My pantry is so neat & organized now. They hold an entire bag of flour, sugar, etc. & are easy to use when baking. The tall containers I had were hard to reach into & when leveling a measuring cup, things would spill out onto the counter. These have ample space to dip your cups into & room to level ingredients right back into the container instead of all over the counter. I wish I had found them sooner! And the reusable labels are nice too. They even come with the marker :)
