The picture in the listing is the picture on the box. But the item in the box differs from the picture on the box and in the listing on Amazon. Advantage: It weighs in a 3.5 pounds, not the listed 1.5 pounds---so more stable. Disadvantage: The diameter of the disk is 5.5 inches and the diameter of the padded ring (where it will tip from, not the edge of the disk) is 5 inches, not the 6 inches listed---so less stable (even allowing for the fact that the padded ring on a 6 inch disk is probably only 5.5 inches across). All in all it is better than the desktop tripod I was using with 3 legs extending 4 inches out from the center. So I will keep the delivered item. It will tip when pushed in the direction of the mic, but it is very hard to tip it far enough to topple. But it would be nicer to have trust in the descriptions that are given.

I am sad to see that there are no reviews for this item. I received the precise item exactly as pictured. It is, as it claims to be, six inches tall and is quite heavy with a nice non-marring rubber bottom to prevent sliding around and/or leaving marks on your desk. It holds the cad-e100s microphone nicely and will, I'm sure, hold any microphone that you can attach to a mic stand.

This is a very sturdy, well designed, and built product. I am very pleased that it has such a heavy sturdy base unlike others that I've tried. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a nice table top mic stand!
