Brilliant
Just what I needed to sharpen chunky twigs into legs to fit into log reindeer. I make these West Ham Woodies to raise money for Harlow Stroke Support and Rehabilitation centre. Thanks too for all your helpful replies . Great tool!

They work
Such a simple device but so effectiveI’ve always used Stanley knives to sharpen carpenters pencils and it’s a bit hit and miss whether it worked or just whittled the pencil awayThese work really well and give a sharp pencil every time

Just the right fit
Ordered this as I have lots of carpenters pencils that I haven’t used as I can’t be bothered to sharpen them up using a knife as they don’t fit in a pencil sharpener. They do now! Fits just right and does the job!! Little bit pricey but does the job! Worth buying…. Yes but maybe shop around as I think you could get it a lot cheaper?

90% good
I had some dewalt pencils that i got with a item i bought an had to sharpen them with a stanley knife so when i saw this i thought i would give it a go. i t does work but not even on the nib i;e t removes the wood from the narrow edges but leaves a bit of wood on the larger flat edges however this is remedied with a knife but considering it is a awkward shaped pencil to sharpen it does the job hope this helps

Expensive and not very good
Poor sharpness tends to snap the pencil lead before good point is made on carpenters pencils. On ordinary pencils the blade is not ideally positioned to sharpen easily
