Purchased to get a grip on a dishwasher salt compartment lid. Removed with ease. Since then have use for several things including removing the lid from plastic PVA containers which get glued on. Excellent product.

Useful product to a toolbox

I got it to open jars and it does that easily, no more shout from the kitchen to open jars, my wife loves it.Big one at the bottom of the jar with handle 7:30 against your left hip, small one in the edge of the lid handle at 4:30, left hand steadying jar and push the handle away and pop the lid is the method my wife came up with

I've not actually used these yet, but they look decent quality for the price, and noticed that none of the strap wrenches achieved anything close to 5 star review averages. These were recommended compared to the type where the strap sits in a gap in the handle, which also looked impractical to me, as imagine the strap will keep slipping out. With these, the straps look firmly held within the handle, although the length adjustment cannot be locked into place, and is only held in place by you holding the strap along with the handle, as far as I can tell..Other thing to note is that the handle is comparatively wide, which might be a disadvantage when using in tight spaces - total width at top - widest part - is 7 cm for larger and 5 cm for smaller handle. They have a life long guarantee, if you register on website within 30 days..The rubber straps do have a smell to them, although mine don't seem as strong smelling as described by some reviewers, or maybe my sense of smell is not as sensitive. I have kept them in the package so far, because of the whiff, and am not sure I'd want to store these in the kitchen drawer, unless the smell wears off with time.Will try and update when I've tried them out.Edit:Had originally given these 5 stars, as noted earlier, few of these seem to get 5 star reviews, and after trying them out, now know why. I tried to use them a for a few things, but they were not useful for any applications I tried. Most recently, I tried them to unscrew a water filter housing that was stuck. It's a large plastic tube, essentially, with some ribs for their spanner to grab on to. These were far less effective than the spanner provided..It's hard to get them to grip anything tight enough that you can apply enough force. They might work for opening jars, but it's so much faff to set them up, it's easier to just grab a rubber glove! Not something I'd buy again..

I used this to twist a pre existing soil pipe so it could be drilled for a boss connector.Fantastic, my original two boa constrictor strap wrenches could not do it but just the large silver line wrench cocked it’s leg over the boa constrictors as it turned the pipe by itself. Silverline have always made great tools and this is no exception. Buy it

I use them for accessing my central heating filter/particle magnet. Does the job.

These arrived today. I ordered them to move a tight friction fitting metal band on an air cylinder. Worked straight away and did what I needed. There is a direction you have to fit it, arrow indicates this direction. It will slip if positioned the wrong way

The strap loops around the object in question, the handle locks it in position (there's even an undo direction arrow on each side of the handle). Je les ai acheté pour ouvrir les bocaux difficiles à ouvrir et ça marche très bien.Il faut utiliser les deux clés en même temps et aucun bocal ne résiste.

Ho acquistato il set per tentare di svitare il sifone del lavello. A mio modesto parere, le cinghie non hanno sufficiente grip sulla "plastica", in ogni caso non mi sento di dare parere negativo perché la condizione del sifone era troppo compromessa per tentare di svitarlo senza romperlo. Ho trovato il modo di pulire il sifone dall'intasamento in altro modo!
