The arm is STURDY...OMG!! DURABLE...OMG! And, SO professional looking! I have put it together 1st day I got in with my AD600 and 48 inch (heavy) softbox on a metal C-stand and the arm did not even blink! Took it like a champ and held that up for as long as I wanted it to. If I have a need for a 2nd one or 3rd, I would NOT hesitate to order another! Very please with product and seller! Oh and despite what other may say, it's weighted, sure...I would HOPE so, to hold large, and heavy gear, but it is NOT unwieldy! Just buy it and enjoy it!

This heavy-duty boom arm turned out to be a seriously good piece of studio gear. The moment I mounted it onto my C-stand, I could feel the stability. It extends smoothly from 3.6ft all the way to 8.2ft, and the locking points hold tight without slipping — even with heavier modifiers. For softboxes, strobes, LED panels, and reflectors, this thing handles it all without flexing or sagging. The included sandbag is a big plus. Once you fill it and hang it on the tail end, the whole setup feels balanced and secure. No wobble, no nervous checking every five minutes. It stays in place exactly the way a boom arm should. Adjusting angles is easy too. The knobs are solid, the tightening feels secure, and the aluminum alloy tubing doesn’t twist under load. Amateur beauty photographer - I purchase this boom arm because of the sand bag attachment hook and I needed an upgrade from the skinny arm that comes with the c stand. So far it’s very heavy duty, my godox light fits perfect on it, it fits perfect on my c stand, nothing came broken, the sand bag is small but it works and I like it. I definitely got a bang for my buck with this purchase. Easy to put together as well. The arm can be heavy so take your time and use a step stool if needed it made my c stand a little higher. It adjusts well and no problems with it.

I love this boom! Works great with my heavy duty stainless steel C stand! It’s sturdy and it’s reach is substantial.

The flimsy arms are not necessarily bad but they don't exactly induce a sense of safety on-set. They also tend to be quite small and with that in mind, I decided to pick these up. They're solid. I don't know if I'd call them "heavy duty" in the sense that they could handle 30+ pounds but for a 200 watt COB light and a parabolic softbox, they do the job just fine. These are so easy to adjust and they're light enough weight that it's not a pain to lug them around. The C stands I've bought seem to be of a thiccer metal despite supposedly being of equal duty and material (stainless steel) but that doesn't mean these still aren't great. The reason why I gave them four stars out of five is because the sand bag that comes was a different color from the photo (red instead of yellow lined) and also because the zipper to close up the bag is a single zipper and pretty cheap feeling. If you buy sand bags from NEEWER on Amazon, the bags have two zippers and that ensures they stay closed (though, I'll admit, the NEEWER bags also have cheap zippers but feels like less cheap ones than what came with this arm). All that said, I'm now buying two more of these which means I'll have a total of three. I'm also buying more sand bags as to me, the ones that come with this arm, are just too cheap feeling to be trusted.

Excellent quality— very heavy and sturdy. All handles metal, not black plastic like shown. This product is much better than I expected. You will need a heavy duty c-stand or other to support this. This is for very heavy equipment and lights.
