Disney Sketchbook, A

My favourite art book so far!!I purchased this book as I am an animation student who loves Disney and the art style they produce. I was blown away by the artwork inside! The book has beautiful, initial concept designs spread across A3 sized pages. It is actually like a real sketchbook! The pages are the thick, textured paper that you usually find in high quality sketch pads and the pictures are printed in their original pencil/ink onto the pages. This looks so amazing that you almost feel that you would smudge them if you touched them.My best, favourite and go-to book of all time! If you're an artist/student/just interested in Disney art - BUY THIS BOOK YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

As an animator I have been waiting for this book for quite a while and when it finally was announced that it was coming out I eagerly bought it and was not disappointed. I would go so far to say that every animator worth their salt should have this book in their collection. The drawings are gorgeous and every time i look at the sketches inside, I can see something new in the way they've been drawn. It is a truly inspiring collection. Even if you are not an animator, but enjoy watching the Disney films, I heartily recommend getting this book, just so you can get an inkling of the talent and skill that comes in making these kind of films.

I was disappointed with the quality of the product and almost sent it back, but as the internals were as expected I decided I could live with it. The front cover had a badly stuck on label with air-bubble crinkles in it which I couldn't squish out. Rather cheap and shoddy looking.

Got this for my daughter, who asked for it as a xmas present, After reading the reviews I decided to buy it. I have to say the quality is amazing, It is a sketch book of the highest quality and the paper is really thick and good quality. It is not a sketch book for you to sketch in, It is sketches done by Disney artists.

Bought this as a gift and the recipient, (a major Disney fan) absolutely loved it. It's a beautifully printed, high-quality book. A real treat for anyone who collects Disney. I, as a lover of beautiful books, and she, the huge Disney fan, would highly recommend this to anyone.

This book is beautiful, my father in law has been to Disneyworld in California and Florida many times over the years he absolutely loves Walt Disney, he has a vast collection of Disney figurines and memorabilia including collectors pieces so he was delighted when he received this book as a present on Christmas day .

some nice drawings but I would have liked to see a wider variety of construction drawings, developments, turn arounds, styles and see the colour pencil sketches . I would have liked more incite into how the ideas were developed and seen more links to the animation of the characters. it is filled out with thick paper rather than more drawings. I think others have thought of it as their personal sketch book rather than a tiny glimpse at the drawing techniques of skilled animators.

The book is absolutely amazing, there is a full range of pictures from Mickey mouse to tangled and there are drawings of Disneys first idea of how characters looked like and how they are now. Well worth the money and would recommend to anyone who loves disney.
