HeritageReplacement Wooden WC Seat Bar Hinge Set only in Chrome

Well made and sturdy seat hinges for use on wooden toilet seats. Very pleased with the overall quality and very good value for money. Relatively easy to fit even though they were not like for like brackets. Nevertheless once fitted they look fabulous and have completely refurbished the seat with a shiny as new look.

The hinge broke in the morning, so went into Wincheap to get a new one, but being Wednesday H &B were closed. Thinking about it while sitting precariously in the evening I opened Amazon, and hey presto a new set of hinges was delivered next morning.

These fittings fitted perfectly except for a slight adjustment to the hinges on the toilet lid. I am very pleased with the quality of the hinges.

I was very pleased with the set, which is good steel and I was able to install easily.

I fitted the seat using screws provided, after one day the small countersunk head screw fixing the pillar to the circular base pulled out and the seat slipped sideways off the pan . The 5mm diameter screw ONLY engaged in the pillar by 3mm. TOTALLY INSUFFICIENT . IF an OLD person was using a seat fitted with this the results could be DISASTROUS ,POTENTIALLY ENDING IN INJURY . I had some longer stainless allen cap screws which I fitted . NOT EVERYONE WILL BE ABLE TO DO THIS

Great quality which came as a pleasant surprise.

I bought this item about 18 months ago to replace the original hinge set which came with the seat in 2014. Now this one has broken too, in exactly the same place (on the right arm, between the hinge socket and the inner seat mounting hole).Am I going to have to go on getting a new one every 18 months? The alternative would seem to be throwing away the whole seat and starting again.*Sigh*

Fitted perfectly, easy to assembke. A couple of pounds more expensive than other sellers but it was important to me that it could be returned free if not fitting. Fastest delivery too.
