I purchased this product for my mom who is in assisted living. She uses a walker to get around and gym shoes are just to heavy for her and regular slippers do not provide a secure fit. The elastic around the top edge of the slipper is secure but not tight and the sole has non-slip dots for safety. These slippers are machine washable and the colors stay true through repeated launderings. I have purchased at least 5 pairs in different fun colors and mom is the hit of her assisted living facility!
