I bought these to use as platforms for my 3 chonky male rats to get around the cage easier. When attached to the bars, they are incredibly sturdy and do not jiggle or buckle under the weight of even multiple rats. They love bouncing off them and using them as perches to look out of the cage bars! I am unsure how long they will last if they become a favored peeing spot, but the fact you can buy refills make them very cost-effective, and a good alternative if you find the usual lava ledges a bit too expensive. I would recommend!

My rats absolutely love these. We have 12 platforms around their 122cm high cage and they jump easily from platform to platform, to travel up and down. They also sleep, groom and play on the larger ones sold by this seller. I was worried they would chew through the platforms, as rats do with so many things, but excluding a single exploratory nibble when first introduced into the cage, the rats see them as part of the cage wall and not as chew toys. Sturdy, well made, and can get cheaper 'refills' without the metal attachment. Great product(s)!

Have two cages, both have some of these shelfs, both cage members love them and use them. It's simple but it ticks all the boxes. You might think these are expensive for what they are but they beat regular wood shelving by a mile. Get one and try it yourself if you're in doubt.

Good to put in various places , hard to clean as it turns to mush when wet

Bought these for our ratty boys,they seem to love chasing around on them.Easy to put in and very sturdy. The boys really like them.

These are great for older rats suffering with hind leg degeneration - they are nice and grippy and make good steps to help them get around the cage. From the image I thought they were made of bamboo but they are tough little cardboard tubes, very sturdy but will have a finite lifespan and can only wipe clean.

These are great. My roborovski hamsters love climbing onto these shelves. Before I had a plastic shelf would was a faff to take out and clean. Now I just take the whole wire cage section off. Get rid of the mess in the tray and top section clips back on as the shelves are all permanently attached to the wire. Will definitely be buying the replacement covers for these fab shelves. Not too big either. Just right. Hamsters very happy.
