Great little Dab/FM radio!
Very easy to tune. 6 presets. Three for DAB and 3 for FM. (3 preset buttons. You get the drift) The Radio is small and a good size with a rubber carry strap. It uses mains power or 4 AA batteries. The sound is quite nice. Quite good for the size. Classic FM and BBC Radio 3 sound good, and so does Capital Chill, haha. The radio has a good volume range. Reception is key, even with DAB. When I took it upstairs I’m sure it sounded clearer. It’s a great little Radio for the shelf in the toilet or maybe even a bedside, or the table where you work. Take it anywhere, it’s small enough. Yes, very good.

Value for money
Very good small portable radio, not the best Roberts make but very good value for money. 5 stars. After a short time playing about with this radio it is an excellent piece of kit and worth every penny.

Good !
Good little radio. A few points that occur to me initially. The hand strap (flexible rubber) is a good idea but it could be a little bit longer - I have quite small hands but it won't go over them without a struggle. The radio runs off DC 5V so it should be easy to knock up a cable (centre pin +ve) to power it from a USB source which could be handy. For me however, the fact that it also can run off 4 x AA batteries is a real plus as I can use rechargeables in it. Quite a lot of the small DAB/FM radios on Amazon have their own internal rechargeable batteries which I am never keen on as they may be difficult to replace when they get worn out. The volume control is nice and sensitive so it is possible to use it in a quiet environment at low levels without disturbing other people (ie a sleeping partner !). I have read reviews of other radios where the minimum volume is quite loud. I cannot comment authoritatively on how sensitive the reception is. I am using it at my mother's house in Henley on Thames which is not a good area for FM reception let alone DAB. As I suspected, it works outdoors OK but indoors DAB is not available and FM is so-so but tolerable - I guess the sensitivity is average and to be honest for a budget radio like this I was not expecting too much. The stated aim of switching off FM transmission completely at some point in the future is barking - in my opinion ;) Sound quality is better than would be expected for it's size and weight. So, overall I am happy with the purchase and am confident that for me at least, at this price point it is the best option on Amazon at the moment for performance, value, features & design. Just a quick update after a week of use - the sound quality is most definitely better than could be expected. Of course it is not hifi and it is not particularly loud but at moderate volumes it is virtually free of distortion and has a nice engaging sound. It is a lot more sensitive than another DAB radio I have tried and can pick up stations indoors in Liverpool even without the aerial extended ! This could be par for the course for most DAB radios now. I am not sure because it is several years since I tried one here - the one I used was also a premium brand (Pure) which I now keep it on my boat but this Roberts radio would beat it hands down.

Bought another this week so highly recommended by me
Lovely little radio - bought for a friend. Easy to pre-set stations and being able to run on batteries handy when on the move. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this purchase

High quality sound from a small radio
Lovely modern and stylish compact radio. I was very surprised at the excellent sound quality from such a small unit. Normally radios of this size tend to sound very tinny. So this radio is a good high performance purchase.

Read this review, happy with it.
So surprised by this lovely DAB+ and FM portable radio. I bought it because its made by Roberts who are reliable and have good quality stuff. Good value. Great to use, can use the AC Adapter posted with the box and they include instructions too. You can use batteries if you want to take it outside. It has 3 presets for DAB and 3 presets for FM. The reception is surprisingly good on FM too, but it must depend on where you are of course. Functions well for me. Buttons are nice and easy to use. Overall, a contented customer and what do you expect from ROBERTS!

Limited FM functionality but best sounding budget DAB radio
I have bought and return several DAB+ radios previously due to harsh sounding and/or other issues. This one however, is easily the best sounding model I have tried so far. Let's be real, with the extremely low bitrate of DAB/DAB+ stations across UK (we are talking about 32Kbps AAC is the norm, or even worse, 64kbps for mp2, which IMO is broader-line unbearable for listening to music, Play 10 is just ideal for such heavily compressed audio source. While it isn't particularly "high fidelity" or extremely details reviling, it does not making "fake" bass boost (which makes the sound nothing but muddy) like some other brands do, just warm and natural sounding. What a shame for Roberts decided to discontinue it, replacing it with Play 11 which fabric front cover makes the sound muddy and (almost) impossible to clean. On the negative side, the Play 10 does not have a full scan function for FM, so for the most part you have to stick with (up to) 3 favourite stations which you can quick access through the dedicated favourite buttons, but if you primary use it for DAB/DAB+ stations, which is a non-issue since all scanned DAB/DAB+ stations are saved for navigate through the tuning wheel.

Looks good, good reception and good sound given the speaker size
Bought this for my disabled brother who loves to listen to 5Live for sport. The three preset buttons make it easy for him to select the station. It seems able to pull in stations that other radios have failed to do - we're not in good reception area. Looks good, clear sound as you'd expect with DAB but like most things these days with a tiny speaker it sound bright and lacks any bass. It's good for chat radio and music at low/modest levels. I think it sounds typical for a good quality device of this size; it's not "surprising" as some tiny Bluetooth speakers, but it's better than radios I've listened to at this size. That doesn't sound like a great endorsement, but it performs well given the size of speaker employed. Overall, as a small lightweight and simple to use DAB and at modest sound levels it does the job very well.
