Really delighted with this, its really thick too, and not watery like many cheaper versions, having said that, this 5Litre tub was the best value for a quality product of this make on Amazon too. My images show a before and after too, and perfect for decking in every way. Lovely colour too. Thank you again to Cuprinol.

Very prompt delivery from this firm, and the product was securely wrapped so that the paint did not spill during transit. I love the mellow colour of this paint. It has a nice smell and glides onto the fence panels easily. It is water resistant and wears well. It allows the grain of the wood to show through. Excellent product and I would definitely order from this firm again if I needed this paint again in the future.

I was in two minds about ordering from Amazon after spills but this arrived in a sturdy box, padded with paper, with the lid taped on several times and in a plastic bag. Phew! And I like this paint, though don't leave too long between coats or it repels itself - it repels showers even faster, mind.

New Amazon green packaging doesn't protect the plastic paint container. had 3 delivered and one had burst releasing paint into bag. Guy next door had 2 of the same product delivered and had the same issue. One split can. Amazon need to start using the papier mache inserts top and bottom of the box again. Product itself is brilliant and have used it on my fence panels for a good few years. Just disappointed with packaging.

Great value and does a good job

I used this on an older fence that had started to fade and look tired, and overall I’m pretty happy with the result. The Harvest Brown colour looks natural and warm, giving the wood a much fresher, more uniform appearance without looking too dark or artificial. Application is very straightforward. The paint is quite thick and non-drip, so it doesn’t run everywhere, which makes it easy to work with even if you’re not experienced. It goes on smoothly with a brush and absorbs well into rough timber. It’s also low odour, which is a nice bonus when working in the garden. One of the biggest positives is how quickly it dries — it becomes showerproof in about an hour, so you don’t have to worry too much about unpredictable weather. Coverage is decent too. A 5L tub goes a long way (roughly 20–25m² depending on the surface), but you’ll realistically need 2 coats for a solid, even finish, especially if the wood is dry or previously untreated. Now for the downsides. While it claims up to 5 years of protection, that really depends on preparation and exposure. If the surface isn’t cleaned properly or gets a lot of weather, don’t expect it to last that long — it’s more of a maintenance product than a one-and-done solution. Just don’t rely too heavily on the “5-year” claim treat it as something you’ll refresh every couple of seasons for best results.
