JXE JXO Throwing Spikes, 9.4" Stainless Steel No Spin Throwing Set with Nylon Belt Sheath

These knives are extremely sturdy and are heavy enough for good penetration in no-spin throwingy. They are not as heavy as the 12" Cold Steel Sure Flight Sport knives or the 10" SZCO Supplies Heavy Balanced Full-Tang Stainless-Steel Blades (both of which are great knives), but they are beefy and want to fly and stick, which they do better than the SZCOs but not as well as the Cold Steels.The thickness and contour of the handle index nicely in your hand and facilitate a smooth and consistent release. The thickness of the blade at the point is almost as thick as the rest of the knife so the point is more conical than beveled. This provides ample penetration without compromising robustness. These things are tough and withstand Robinhood-ing and impacts with rocks without flinching.Even the finish is extraordinary! The flat satiny finish is visually appealing and feels so good in-hand. The first "J" in the laser-etched "JXE JXO" on the handle approximately marks the center of gravity of the knife and perfectly marks where you want the tip of your index finger to rest for no-spin throwing. I threw knives a lot in my youth, but I've only begun to throw no-spin recently. I find that these knives fly and stick consistently for me out to 15 feet and I can feel that they will do so from longer ranges as I progress.And the price is a bargain. Save yourself some time and additional shipping expenses and order six instead of three! You won't regret it.I've always been of the conviction that knives are great tools but poor weapons, especially throwing knives. Regarding throwing knives, it is extremely difficult and unlikely to inflict a crippling much less fatal wound with them and if they fail in either of those objectives, you only succeed in arming your attacker. But I feel like the JXE JXO Throwing Spikes are heavy, sharp, and accurate enough to neutralize a target.

There are cheap throwing knives, and there are Jxe Jxo throwing knives. I have several throwing knives that cost 2 and 3 times per individual knife, than a set of 3 Jxe Jxo knives cost. I wish I knew about these sooner. 420HC steel isn't the absolute best steel out there, but it's pretty good with these knives due to their thickness. Collision impacts can cause burrs and bounce backs can be very dangerous, so be careful with these. The parabolic handle design is really good for No-Spin style throwing, but these can also be thrown conventional and military half spin styles.

After a dozen non-expensive throwing knives I bought on Amazon in a last 4 years, this set is probably becoming my favorite! If you practice instinctive knife throwing techniques (like no spin one), this set is for you! For the first time, I've got a real weapon. It penetrates hard wood a couple of inches without much effort.PROS: heavy, well-balanced, only tip is sharp, although it needs to be tested by time, the steel looks very legit, hitting two knives doesn't create a dent, two sets of 3 for very reasonable price.CONS: time will say, so far - none

I love the design of the knives. They are easy to throw and they are sharp and function like they should. They are fun to use. Only negative is the grip is not very comfortable.

What's not to like? As someone who is fairly new to knife throwing, I figured it was time to "up" my game. i got tired of clanging those smaller, cheaper, lighter, "cool" looking knives off of wood targets and having them flying back in my direction. Came across some youtube videos by various knife throwing contest winners who all had only positive things to say about these JXE JXO 9.4" throwing spikes. First off, these really look no-nonsense with a nice finish. They've got nice weight and balance and they stick real good. I can actually hit 4 out of 5 throws using no-spin and I'm starting to try half-spin. Their weight and balance seem appropriate for different techniques. Another big feature is the price. 3 of these knives for under $25. Can't beat it!

I've been practicing seriously for about two years, and my skills are way improving. These are pointy and easy to stick. Good value. This is the 6th different type of set I've aquired, and they are top 1 or 2 for me. Like any different throwers, once you learn it's dynamics, you'll find it to be a joy to throw.
