It works for us - but it is fairly flimsy
We bought this as a retractable barrier to restrict our Golden Retriever when he is wet. It works, so we are pleased with it, but there are some points that might be helpful to pass on.Firstly, when retracted, it still sticks out 20cm from the wall- which is quite a lot, really. We have it next to a book case, which protects it .... but if it were on a wall by itself, I would suspect it wouldn't be long before someone knocked it off.Secondly, it is fairly flimsy. It works as a dog guard for us because we trained him to see it as a barrier he must keep clear of. If he actually decided to go through it, it would break - no question!So it works for us, and it solved a problem - but I suspect that it may not last a particularly long time before someone human or canine breaks it!
