Amazing product. Smell wasn’t horrible. Open all windows and use a fan to blow the product steam away from your face. Take your time, I spent a couple hours on this. But it’s worth the time taken, don’t rush. I sectioned each piece and did tiny sections. Fully saturate hair, comb a lot. Then at the end sort of squeeze the hair towards the ends to remove excess product. When you blow dry your hair originally make sure it’s as straight as you can do with a round brush. I personally straightened my hair like 10+ times each strand. Until it was stick straight. Don’t wash your hair for as long as possible, I used dry shampoo to maintain the style for as long as possible. This stuff really really worked. I will say, Lost a lot of my curl… which is personally what I wanted to do without using a relaxer. If you are afraid of posing your curl use the other version of keratin from this brand, it’s apparently less strong but still effective. I will continue to buy this product!! So damn happy with my hair. I live in San Francisco where it is extremely foggy at all times. My hair frizzes up so much, but now it’s smooth and super soft. I feel like I lost most of my split ends using this. My review pictures included 1) my hair air dried with some “de-frizz” products 2) hair straightened after applying the keratin treatment 3) a week after applying the treatment, this is my hair air dried and applying no heat just olaplex oil. My suggestions for products to use for after care… Amika the Kure hair treatment (bond maintenance), sulfate free shampoo…sulfates makes keratin seep from the hair, hair oil on your ends, a super moisturizing hair mask/conditioner. I use Davines hair care and it’s amazing but expensive. Amika has cheaper options. Don’t crease yourself hair for as many days as possible and brush your hair everyday and keep it dry for as long as possible.

Does the trick and works really well! I had one professional keratin treatment at a salon and for 200$ i was not that impressed with the results after two weeks it was already fading. My stylist told me they have a cumulative effect, if I do another treatment before the previous one wears out It will take more curl out. So I did this one two weeks after my first. I tried this and I love it. Followed the directions exactly and it took me 2.5 hours. I washed my hair three times with the clarifying shampoo in the morning then let it air dry so the 2.5 hours is from later in the day when i started applying the product. My hair is a 3a-3b curl and I have really resistant curls around my crown and in the back of my head. Fumes usually never bother me but this one burned my throat so I stood directly in from of a fan. I noticed the smell before applying heat which I didn't expect, and then it got worse with blow dryer and flat iron. For this reason I might try a formaldehyde free formula next time. I waited 60 hours to wash/shampoo my hair after the treatment. I tried to do the 72 but the smell(stale beer) and oil build-up was getting to me. Overall it does what is says it will, don't hesitate to buy!

Holy moly. This stuff actually works! I used this system on a day when I had nothing else to do, so I didn't feel rushed. I started with the clarifying shampoo, which I used three times in the shower, once standing upright, once with my head flipped, and then again right side up. I did use a scalp scrubber to really make sure it was squeaky clean. I let my hair air dry for a while without touching it (didn't want to add oils from my hands) and then went in with the blow-dryer. Once my hair was 100% dry, I did three big sections - top left, top right and bottom. Then I sectioned out my problem area, which for me is my hairline. I decided I wanted to apply the product to my problem area first so it would have the longest time to process. After doing my hairline, I did small sections working from the bottom up. I followed the directions on the box. Once my whole head was done, I let it sit for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, I blowdried. This was the most tedious part. My hair is extremely long and thick and this took forever. Even when I was "done" I still felt like my hair was a bit "sticky". I then went in with my flat iron at 410°. I again followed box instructions, going over small sections of hair 7-12 times. I did this on a Tuesday, and then flat ironed my hair again each day after before my first wash. The box does suggest doing this, but I hadn't seen that advice anywhere else. My hair is probably 3b curly and VERY frizzy. After my first wash, my curl pattern is definitely diminished, as is the frizz around my hairline that was my biggest issue. Yes, my eyes burned while blowdrying. I don't care. These results are worth it.

The smell is so strong and thats okay, every other product is like that. But I have used this in the mid of January and now is the end of February, my hair is as before. But its shiny and easier to iron it.

After reading most of the reviews before I purchased the Keratin Forte, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve bought the Keratin research plain one before, not the forte and with a professional application, that worked out very well for me. My hair is frizzy and has some curl/wave with a few kinks. This time, i didn’t have help with the application and was therefore apprehensive about it’s effectiveness. I managed it with some difficulty because my hair is almost waist-length. Firstly, I was pleasantly surprised with the quantity. I thought i might have to use it up fully but only ended up using half the bottle. Second, the product didn’t smell bad. But I have caution new users: my eyes burned a lot and watered like crazy. I used a fan to blow the air behind me but it still burned. As the stylist had previously shown me, i massages the product into my hair well, running my fingers up and down the hair sections, smoothing in the product, removing any excess. Once the application was done, I waited as directed. A trick a professional hair stylist had taught me, was to use a shower cap so the product remains damp in the hair and doesn't dry out. After the recommended time, i blow dried it first using a round brush and the flat ironed it like heck. Mine is a lower heat iron so i used it on each section multiple times. It burned a lot again. I left it on for 2 days and washed it the third. I’m so happy with the results! My hair is smooth and fully free of FRIZZ! There’s a hint of a wave here and there which i don’t mind because it makes it look natural rather than poker straight and unnatural. My hair is shiny, soft and easy to manage! Drying it is a breeze, literally.

I cannot say enough about this product!!! I have thick curly Puerto Rican hair, it is unruly and despite the hundreds of dollars I've spent I cannot find a product that tames it. That being said as much as I do love my natural curls, I do not have the time to maintain it and style my hair everyday. I cannot justify spending $200-$300 on keratin treatments in the salon when the results usually do not last me longer than a month and a half. Due to the great reviews I decided to give this a chance and it has truly changed my life. I just cut my hair prior to applying the treatment, therefore I only used about a quarter of the bottle, however I included a photo of the length my hair was prior to the chop and I am certain 1 4 oz bottle would have been plenty to cover this length. I have very thick hair ,I regularly break hair ties and this was definitely enough. The fumes were not overpowering for me at all, I had to leave the bathroom door closed because I have a toddler in the house, but I simply opened the bathroom window and was totally fine, if you do not have proper ventilation then yes you will feel some stinging and burning in the eyes but it was much better than i expected. The salon is 100 times worse, I think there were maybe two instances when I felt "something' in my eyes and it was very mild and brief. Again though even if it were worse the results are totally worth it. The instructions are very easy to follow, if you've ever had a treatment done in the salon you already know what to do as they are the exact same steps. Even for first-timers its so easy. Lastly, just a note. I did NOT wear gloves when applying the treatment and my hands were incredibly dry for the two days following, after I showered they were beyond prune-ey. It was not painful or uncomfortable whatsoever, just very dry. This was completely my fault however, the instructions definitely DO say to wear gloves, I am only including this to let you know what happens if you do not. I always think it is way more helpful to see the air-dryed post-treatment results, as of course right afterwards your hair is flat-ironed. If you are at all hesitant about this product GET IT. I live in the South, where humidity is over 95% every day (seriously, I check weather.com year-round before I leave the house). In the 15 minutes it takes to walk my children to school, my flat-ironed naturally curly hair would balloon to a giant puffball unless I wore a granny-style plastic bonnet every day. Even doing that, it always takes 35-40 minutes to flat-iron my air-dried hair. After I received a salon keratin treatment as a gift, I was hooked. I had them for several summers, but cannot justify the $300-$400 price tag in my area, even though I wash weekly so that it last 4-5 months. I tried one other at-home treatment (One n Only Curl Remover, twice) and it did absolutely nothing. So, I sprung for this Forte treatment, figuring my hair is resistant, and wow, it's almost too straight. The formaldehyde released during application and flat-ironing at times made me cough and my eyes burn, but I mostly avoided that doing the treatment in a room with a fan blowing away from me, a floor length mirror propped up against a wall and an outside door a few feet away from me wide open. I tried doing it outside but it was over 90 degrees so I gave up on that. The first photo is flat-ironed, after treatment, which now takes 15 minutes. The second is what my natural hair looks like when I blow-dry it (my mother-in-law always tells me that will fix everything, yeah, no). The third photo is what Keratin Forte did for my hair- this is how it looks now AIR-DRIED. It went from a 3a to a 2a, maybe. The last photo is my natural hair before Keratin Forte, air-dried. I don't know how long this will last, but I did a ton of research and bought LuxeOrganix shampoo and conditioner and Pureology Color Fanatic Spray for heat protection to try to keep my hair smooth and shiny as long as possible. I really don't take time to post reviews, but Keratin Forte was a game changer. I have some time and dignity back.

This product did not work for me. I thought maybe because my hair had been dyed blue and was pretty dry that might have been a reason why it didn’t work. Then I tried this product on my moms hair thinking for sure it’d work since her hair is less stressed and less frizzer than mine, but this product again failed. Really wish I could say different :(

I was hesitant to buy this at first. But, I did it anyways, thanks to all who gave reviews. My hair looks amazingly beautiful, shiny, healthy, soft. For sure it’s the best investment ever for my hair. I have done treatment for more than $500/ treatment. This is the most economical way to do it. Just follow exactly the directions like I did. Now I’m enjoying my hair everyday, can even skip to bathe my hair, and still looks great. I am giving this a review, for saying thank you for your product and the other people out there who are hesitant to try.

Producto muy eficaz para las que queremos lucir una melena lacia. Cuida el pelo, y desde luego lo alisa. Dejadlo siempre actuar 3 días antes de lavar el cabello. Antes me realizaba un tratamiento similar en la peluquería, pero el precio es tan elevado que no siempre puedes permitírtelo pagar. Lo recomiendo 100%. Si el cabello lo tenéis muy estropeado, no paséis tantas veces la plancha.

Firstly, this product works on my hair. I have wavy hair with strong waves in places and the formula has completely flattened them. It is worth noting...as many seem to be complaining about the fumes... that during the process, you will blow dry and straighten your hair without rinsing out the product so, yes, it creates a lot of fumes, it contains formaldehyde and you need ventilation...ie a door open to outside in the same room. Not just a little window. My hair is just past my shoulders and there was plenty of formula, had a bit left over. The shampoo has lasted 6/7 washes. I have not used conditioner since as haven’t needed to. It is extremely important that you do NOT wash the treatment out for three days. Your hair will be better for leaving it.. if you do then your results will not be as hoped. I Did this at home and it’s money well spent, in the past it has cost over £100 at the salon and genuinely, the results, for me, are the same. Just follow instructions properly.
