I was looking for a soft recliner as my old one had given out after years of use. I could not find one I liked in the local stores, so took a chance to buy one online, over my wife's objections. It arrived a few weeks ago. Based on the pictures, this chair appeared to be exactly what I was looking for. But looks can be deceiving. When it arrived it looked great. But the first time I used it, I thought it was hard and uncomfortable. There is a hard and irritating spine right down the middle of the seat and also on the middle of the back. I had never heard of such a problem before. I was hoping my body weight would soften it, but no such luck. Now I can't stand sitting in it. It's like torture. I put a soft blanket over it and it still doesn't help. I bought it based on solid reviews on Amazon, although there were only nine of them. None were lower than a four. Maybe I should quit going by customer reviews. This chair is probably not returnable but I've decided that I'm going to try. I've never been more disappointed over a purchase.

This chair is so comfortable and alot of cushion. i cover my chair with a thin blanket because i have cats, but this is the softest chair I have had. I sleep in my chair alot of the time, and it is perfect for that. It is also perfect for working on my laptop. I would buy another one. the right arm rest opens to include a place for a drink, and a place for magazines or papers or something. I don't like that feature and did not even know it had that, until i accidentally found out. All in all i am very pleased with this chair, and feel it's going to last a long while. Very well made. The shipping was free, and they rolled it up to my door. Got it really quickly also. Good buy.

It was very stiff, over stuffed even. But as time past it has become one of my favorite chairs. My Lazyboy was a good friend. It finally gave out. So I looked up different options and am happy with this. This thing is rock solid. The size is great. It fits me like a glove. I am six foot tall and 220. The wide back is broad enough to allow me to shift around in comfort. I am extremely satisfied with my choice over Lazyboy. I won't go back!

When I decided I needed a new recliner, I started looking on amazon simply because it's so easy to order and their customer service is the best. I settled on the Lucas model after reading and re-reading every review for it and several other models. Some of the Lucas reviews concerned me a bit, especially about the floppy arm opener and the supposed strip of wood down the back that was totally uncomfortable. I did have a bit of trouble with the order, but the sellers were more than cooperative in resolving them. The dropship hauler delivered the chair right into the living room, where I opened the box and had the strength to maneuver the chair bottom and top out of the box all by myself.. I am a 71 year old female. It was just a little bit tricky to attach the top and the bottom, but once that was done and the chair put in it's spot, it's been a wonderful relationship! My recliner is very important to me for comfort and relaxation, and this chair fulfills everything I wanted. I would highly recommend it!!November 29, 2017Now that I've had the chair for a few months, I'd like to add a couple of things.. one.. the overstuffed part has settled down nicely and it is very comfortable. The fabric shows no wear, the reclining mechanism works great. The only thing I would change is the right arm opener.. I think that might be really annoying if I had children crawling up and down off my lap. When the grandchildren come, it flops open very easily. Even the cat has opened it a couple of times. Outside of that, I still give it 5 stars.

These chairs rate a 10 and its the second time we've purchased the Lane Lucas recliners. Our five year old recliners were still very serviceable and were handed down to our son, hopefully to get another 5 years out of them. These recliners provide wonderful support to all areas of your body, the fabric is super soft, and the price was comparable to 5 year-ago pricing, and with Amazon prime we got our chairs delivered in 2 days! Watch out furniture stores, Amazon will put you out of business. No back-order slips either. Delivery was great with the freight service they used (Pilot), and the boxes were placed inside our front door.

Very nice chair. Framed out of very thick plywood. Very fluffy and generous stuffing and the fabric is so soft and also fluffy. Comes in a square looking box with back separated from bottom. It actually makes it easier to move in the house--especially through doorways!Assembly is a no brainer. There are two metal latches. You simply lower the back onto metal receptacles and the lock in the latches. Instructions are included attached to the chair but you won't need them and they are poor quality photocopies anyways.One thing to keep in mind: The right arm rest pillow folds out to reveal a plastic cup holder and cubby bin. I do NOT like this. To easy for the arm rest to flip out. We actually bought the recliner so my wife can nurse the baby comfortably and rest her arm on the arm pillow--this flip out pillow is not stable and wants to flip out if your arm even sits just a little to the outside surface.

I purchased this recliner hoping that it would be comfortable for my back. The shipping was excellent and the delivery was to our porch. It was easy for me (70 years old) to open and bring in both pieces. I put it together without difficulty and then used some sliding pads under the 4 legs to move it where I needed. The chair is soft but supportive and rocks as an option to reclining. I have had to clean it after one of our pups was sick and it cleaned well. It looks nice, is extremely comfortable and I'm glad I purchased it. This is our second Lane recliner and we will stay with Lane in the future.

Bought it for my husband and he is thrilled with it!! Looks great and he thinks it is very comfortable and he should know, he is in it all the time!!!
