First up, thank you to everyone for such helpful reviews. Gave us the confidence to upgrade a perfectly good but slow MacBook Pro. If you have anything up to a mid 2012 MacBook and it’s frustratingly slow and looks for any excuse to crash, do not despair. Our laptop has been in for investigation and we were told it was fine and there were no problems. But it only has 4 GB RAM which is pretty much useless for this day and age. We were about to upgrade to a 16 GB Model or even switch to a Microsoft Surface at an eye watering 2k minimum and then I suddenly thought let’s look on Amazon and see if there is a memory ‘thing’ we can try. The first thing I learned from the reviews was that we were just inside the window for being able to upgrade the RAM ourselves. Second thing was to ignore the instructions on Apple website to only upgrade to 8 RAM. So we purchased two 8 GB cards. Husband earthed himself this morning as suggested and replaced our two 2 cards for the new ones. In other words we went from 4 GB RAM to 16 GB RAM. Restarted the machine and watched in astonishment as it rose from the near dead and leapt into action. Everything was loaded, including my 22,500 photos in a flash. Allowed me to perform some basic photo editing in seconds which would normally take half an hour and a load of bad language. In fact it’s now so fast it is waiting for me to tell it what to do next. Joking apart I could not recommend this product higher and can confirm that you can easily do the job yourself and you can double up on what Apple says. And like previous reviewers you will be a lot of hard earned cash better off! Feels like a real victory!

I wasn’t sure if my old Mac Mini (2012) could be upgraded but research online led me to these memory upgrades. Fitting was very easy even for a novice, if you’re not sure search out help videos on YouTube. My Mac Mini was up and running within a couple of minutes yes it’s that easy and worth doing if you want to prolong the life of your Mac Mini.

After doing some research on this memory, it was reported and found to work in other manufactures laptops and computers, hence my purchase for my Lenovo ideacentre. As long as you follow the specs as in DDR3 CL11 1600, 1.35-1.5volts you're good to go ! So you're maybe wondering why I purchased 2X8GIGS of memory made for MAC ? Well its a least £4 cheaper for the same memory, 'thats not made for MAC', 'maybe some sort of marketing ploy' The I'm made for MAC thing,. If anything I would of thought it would of been the other way around as in the MAC memory would of been more expensive,. The memory works great and is of good speed and steady voltages, I got this memory along with a 2nd hand Intel i74910MQ CPU, The improvement is superb and going from a i54200M with 8GIG of ram has made a massive improvement from a 2013 product, along with my Samsung 1TB SSD I reckon this upgrade will last me at least another 7 years, So only £60 for the memory and £100 for the CPU, a cheap way to keep things up to date on my now very fast 'general use' computer.

A product that does not disappoint. Does the job as it intended with my iMAC late 2014 model. Has started running faster. However over time it will start slowing down. That’s only due to the CPU being an older version. For those who have a newer model, would definitly recommend for the value.

Both cards arrive within a day, well packaged , and undamaged. So easy to install, just unplug from the back of the Mac, this reveals a push in button above the socket, push this in and the panel above pops off, lift the two tabs either side of the compartment, insert/ take out and replace other cards, push the RAM cards in firmly till you hear a click, push down on the tabs, and refit the panel, re connect the power lead, switch on and away you go, went from 16 to 32 RAM in under five minuets. If you have like I do a late 2015 iMac, and you look under about this mac and it will say you need the 1600Mhz cards, some providers will tell you you need the 1867Mhz cards, either will do BUT if you have the 1600Mhz cards fitted you CANNOT put in the 1867Mhz as well, you need all the cards to be the same frequancy, you cannot mix and match. Luckily I was directed correctly or it could have been an expensive mistake. I will defiantly use Timetec again.

I have a 27 inch 7 year old IMac that was becoming incredibly slow and un-responsive and despite several “factory resets “ the ridiculously named but appropriate “sbbod “ was a constant feature . I am not an IT person in any way shape or form ..but a logical person . Out of frustration..I was seconds away from pressing the button and purchasing a new 2020 iMac replacement. I then had a eureka moment and thought about gambling £60 ish on more memory...which I did . Have to say it’s the best money I’ve spent in a long long time . Very easy to install and instantly recognised by your PC. I’m going to order 2 more to max out the RAM on my iMac which makes so much difference it’s unreal. This is a very real review from a normally cynical and sceptical person ..to buy something that actually does what it’s meant to nowadays is a breath of fresh air. Cant recommend highly enough.!!!

Perfect as always! Was doing old mac mini upgrade (mid 2014) what has 4Gb only and was accepted such flawlesly, after its got these 16Gb I manage to upgrade to the latest Sequola mac OS whats working just super now! (Was also upgraded with 1Tb Crucial BX500). Recomending for macs upgrades!

Es un poco complicado instalar en este modelo de iMac , ya que hay que desmontar todo el equipo, hay videos en youtube que te pueden ayudar , pero mucho cuidado al quitar la pantalla, es lo que lleva mas trabajo, paciencia y sin prisa. Lo demas es un puzzle con tornillos Torh . Era la segunda vez que lo hacia ya que las anteriores memorias que compre no eran compatibles, las compre en otra tienda y las tuve que devolver. Funcionan perfectamente y el rendimiento es muy bueno. las aconsejo . Aprovecha para instalarle un SSD 1TB y tendras un equipo actualizado al 2020. Velocidad Increible. (Lo próximo el Microprocesador a i7)
