Good for light garden use but not for pro gardeners of big gardens
The item arrives in a big well packed box with plenty of protection. The unit.------------You get in the box:1 x Motor unit,1 x extension bar drive,1 x pruning saw attachment (it's like a mini chain saw)1 x Hedge trimmer unit,1 x Strimming head with cord line and fixed disk cutters,1 x safety kit - goggles, ear defenders and gloves,1 x basic tools, mixing bottle, back strap and instructions.Starting.-----------The set comes with a 2 stroke mixing container so it is quite easy to get the correct oil to petrol mix. The motor usually starts on the second pull with the choke half out for about 30 seconds and then it is ready to go. The motor is quite noisy but runs well and has enough torque to run the various attachments. We have had a problem with the pull cord. Basically the recoil spring seems very strong and pulls the cord back in very quickly allowing to tangle up and knot. I have contacted the supplier and they are send through a new one.Setting up and using.----------------------------I did not have any problems with this but I am familiar with this type of tool having a small holding and I use them all the time. The first job we did was to use the pruning saw. Some assembly is required which is very easy. The saw did the job in my Dad's garden but the oil leaked out of the oil box and ran down the pole. On investigation a washer seems to have been missed out when it was assembled in the factory (more on this problem later)We then used the hedge cutter and this was quite good and did the job on a mixed hedge well. The Strimmer was next, it worked fine but the supplied cutting cord was quite flimsy and was used up quickly. I have bought some better quality stuff and it now works well. We have yet to try the fixed blade cutting head but it looks strong enough.Overall.----------A useful set for the garden with a few quality contr4ol issues. I have contacted the supplier and they are going to replace the pruner unit and pull cord all which are easy to fit. For light use in a garden this set is fine and if looked after and used correctly should give good service. Maybe we have been unlucky with the initial problem but I still think this is a good buy and the seller has been very helpful and will send us the spares. If you have a large garden or small holding this set will probably not be man enough and you will need more professional tools like those for Stihl but you will need to spend much more. In conclusion a pretty useful set of tools for the garden with great flexibility at a bargain price. The supplier is quite helpful as well which is reassuring.Update.-------The seller MicroMantis quickly replaced the faulty parts by return. They were easy to fit and I have used the unit most days during this fine June weather we are having. It has all worked well when used for what it is intended to be used for. Small pruning jobs, high hedge cutting and nettle striming it has performed well. After using it I always give it a clean and oil all the moving parts and this will keep it in good condition. I am still happy with the unit and how it performs and find it very useful around the garden.

Appalling quality and reliability - avoid!
I'm not normally given to writing scathing reviews. Perhaps I've just been lucky in life and purchased decent quality products, and so haven't needed to. This excruciatingly-bad object of my rage has definitely changed all that!On paper this multi-tool seemed like such a good idea. I needed a replacement for a worn-out strimmer, and had decided that a petrol-engined one was the way to go. Stumbling on this item, I thought I'd got it spot-on, with the addition of a very useful hedge trimmer (plus extension tube - handy for my tall conifers). The reality is unfortunately very very different. At just over one year old I'm actually throwing it away and starting again. I'm so sick to death of the appalling reliability of the motor. Put simply, it just will NOT run reliably. Even in the hottest of conditions it requires far too rich a mixture to get it to stay running, which means it also chucks out plumes of smoke, with obvious environmental consequences. It refuses to run at all on a choke that's anything less than half-open, constantly stalls and is very difficult (now impossible) to get running again. I've lost count of the number of times I've had to remove and clean / dry the spark plug, and no amount of fettling with the carb will get it running reliably. And to add insult to injury, the starter pull cord has now jammed. I'm calling time on this!Of course the other obvious issue (obvious to me now, that is) is that I have lost not only my hedge trimmer, but also my strimmer, meaning that I have to splash out on the two replacement items I really should have bought in the first place. I'm certainly not falling for this again, sometimes separate tools are better than all-in-ones, and this is a classic case in point.Other negatives - the plastic shroud around the top of the engine comes very close to the starter pull and has sharp edges. I've skinned my fingers many times while trying to start the blasted thing. The plastic fuel reservoir leaks from the top where the fuel line and breather run in and out. Getting the various attachments to line up correctly when you connect them to the main output shaft from the engine can be a hit-and-miss affair. And the instruction manual is not particularly well-written or helpful - especially as a lot of the things it tells you to do to get it assembled from new, have already been doneAll in all I'd say this product has few redeeming features. Do yourself (and your wallet) a favour and buy decent quality, separate garden tools. Or if you must buy a multi-tool type thing, choose a better quality one than this!!

Timberpro 5 in 1 good machine
Can't fault it for price. Easy to start. Strims well and hedge cuts well. Bit heavy and noisy but plenty of power.UPDATE 4th July 2017. Can’t fault Micromantis for customer service. I had an engine problem. As still under guarantee offered to fix myself to avoid postage if parts were supplied. They volunteered to supply a new engine under guarantee and it arrived within 10 days of contacting them.As with most Chinese origin engines, parts and complete engines are readily obtainable should the need arise in the future, at a very reasonable price.UPDATE 20 May 2021. Since I repaired this I have really driven it hard. I put on an Oregon blade 3mm thick with two downward teeth for cutting brambles. Cut through branches as thick as my thumb, loads of stinging nettles and hit rocks with it. Also it will mulch down brambles and twigs with the Oregon blade. It’s not as quiet as my stihl, not as comfortable to use but considering I paid 1000 euro less for it it’s ok. It doesn’t owe me a thing now!For gardens it’s fine but there Is no effective antivibration protection which isn’t good for the hands. Not suitable for operating for long periods of time, that’s why I bought a Stihl FS 560C EM.The only other problem I have had is for some reason the fuel pipe has fractured a couple of times and I have just replaced this today. Probably vibration. Chainsaw attachment I don’t use as I use chainsaws and for hedge trimming around our field I use the Oregon metal blade as it’s quicker.
