These little keffir grains are fabulous. As expected, they took a couple of brews to recover from the shock of transit. I used raw cane sugar and on the third brew they sprang into life. You can tell when they do as little bubbless appear. I use a heating mat as my house is stone and cold. After two days I bottled the liquid and added flavour. The following day I had wonderful fizzy keffir. I am also brewing kombucha, but i much prefer the water keffir, it seems more fizzy and has a better flavour.
