42.5” Foam Long Sword Medieval TV Fantasy Video Game Costume Cosplay Prop

I'm 5'9". This item is close to 42" from tip to tip so it's actually a bit too long for me to carry on my belt. However it looks so good I decided to keep it and use it as part of my wall decoration in my office.It is well crafted and very detailed. From 10' away it looks real due to the highlights on the "wood" grip and the "tarnished brass" on the hilt. It is made of sturdy foam with a solid, flexible core (I assume it's heavy duty PVA or similar). There were a couple areas on the blade and handle where the foam was blown into the mold, and I ended up sanding down, filling with glue, and painting back over. Very simple and took me less the 10 minutes. If this is simply for a halloween event you likely wouldn't even need to worry about it.I don't do LARP so won't be getting into any sword battles, but again, this feels sturdy enough to handle being played with and not being damaged. As far as good looking props go, this was worth the money.

It’s a really nice, high quality sword to play around with. I bought it for my 14 year old son for Christmas but unfortunately it was sent in a black plastic bag so he figured out what it was when it was delivered. Sad for me but great for him! I just gave it to him early. He LOVES it. Wish I had one when I was a kid! He now has to share it. Truly a good buy.

This sword was perfect for our Viking costumes and held up very well. We would buy these again
