Very pleased.
After reading other buyers negative reviews I was hesitant but having a good history with Buck knives I went ahead and ordered the Canoe. What arrived was flawless in appearance and function. Cosmetically I could find no defects. The blades were both very sharp and opened smoothly. This will probably become my EDC (till the next shiny object comes along).

Perfect for a first time knife.
First I’m gonna talk quality. This knife the fit finish wood blade everything is top shelf. It say’s made in China but kudos for Buck selling a five star product. Next my seven year old grandson is coming in this summer for his Colorado “Mountain” vacation. We are going camping. I am giving him this knife for his inauguration and rightly so. This knife I personally would be happy as an every day carry but it is honestly perfect in size for a kids first time. I love the size, the way it feels in the hand, I truly believe you could have a hard time finding a perfect first time kid knife. One thing I love as this is not a lock-back is how tight the knife is, It takes some effort to open and close, it’s not gonna close by accident. My dad presented me with a knife like this when I was the same age, I’m doing the same. Thank You Buck.

Excellent first knife, made an 8-year-old girl very happy!
My daughter (8) wanted a pocketknife for Christmas. I wanted to get her a Buck because of their legendary quality and sharpness, but was really torn because I knew this particular Buck is made in China and I wanted her first knife to be made in the good old U.S.A. But the canoe model seemed like the perfect size and fit for her hand, and, well, I figured the memories we'd make with her first knife would mean more to her growing up than the country of origin stamped on the blade. So I went with this one after all, and I'm so glad I did. First of all, she absolutely loves it. So there's a win right off the bat. :) But objectively speaking, this thing is a Buck knife, plain and simple. The design, the finish, and the quality are impeccable. The blades open easily, close positively, and are just as scary-sharp as my higher-priced, American-made Bucks. The handle is larger than most of Buck's wooden folders. It gives a nice chunky grip, and the blades are broader as well, which I really like. The shapes of the blades are also more suited to the sorts of things kids do with a knife, as well as the entry-level bushcraft kinds of things we do together. My daughter was thrilled with the real wooden handles with the brass bolsters. It's got a very classic look to it and just plain works. All in all, this is a beautiful knife, perfect for a child's first knife or even an adult who just wants something a bit beefier than the more slender pocket knives that tend to dominate this space (namely, non-locking folders with wooden handles). I'm really glad we got it for her.

Very nice buck knife.
No complaints at all. The knife was shaving sharp out of the box. The blades are tensioned correctly in my opinion. It had no blemishes on the blade or handle, the brass ends, pins, and buck shield are all look great. The burl wood handle is nice. Nothing feels lacking our out of place. Blades are spaced correctly, but there are some small gaps between the back springs in the back. Nothing that would reduce performance or cause issues though. I'd give this knife a 9 out of 10 in build quality. For the price there's absolutely nothing to complain about. I'd actually say it very nice for it's price.

Great knife
Today I received my Buck knife. It is great and there is a story about it. It was trash day and I was braking down boxes and in doing so I dropped my three blade buck knife in the trash. It was lost and unrecoverable. I have been to the Buck Knife factory in Post Falls, ID where my daughter and her family live. It is a great tour.

Great Edc
To be honest wasn’t exprecting much when i first got this 7 months ago. For the price I just needed a better knife for work better than my stanley box cutter. It exceeded my expectations. I use it daily. Cutting straps, hoses, rope, opening mail, amazon boxes and sod like butter, even using it to poke the ground when checking for sprinkler heads. The quality of this knife is really great. The Blade does lock in place really well and its a little hard to fold it back up but thats what you would want in a slip joint. The size is perfect, disappearing into my overalls pocket and fitting my wallet when im not at work. The functionality of this knife is well worth it.

A sweet pocketknife
Well, this was a pleasant surprise. This wood-scaled Buck Canoe made in China is a very nice piece of workmanship - blades are well centered, fit and finish are smooth all round, no gaps. It isn't as fancy as my American made Case Canoe with its bone scales and brass liners, but the fundamental workmanship seems every bit as good, and as for blade alignment, maybe a little better. It is a sweet pocketknife, seems like a good purchase, and I'm sure it will last as long as I need it.

La lama ha un po' di gioco
Buck fatto in Cina.
