Love this Crimper!
Bought: Haisstronica 6PCS Crimping Tool Set Ok, Like many of you I have been using those cheap thin metal striper/crimpers that come in every electrical "kit" you ever buy. You can also buy those in stores and are fairly inexpensive, sometimes downright cheap. And to use them to crimp anything means hurting your hand from the pressure and that crappy thin metal. On to this tool and set: I paid $54.99 for this item and at time of review some 10 months later it is $49.99. That seems excessive or expensive however you know the old saying, you get what you pay for. Here you get so much more. It this set you get the crimping tool and 6 sets of dies. It says 6ps because die A is installed on the tool during arrival. The case it comes in is fairly cheap plastic but is more than enough for what you need. However I think the snaps that close it are poor. They are the standard molded on snaps that come with most things that wear over time and break and since they are molded on you cannot replace them. That's really the only con to this set. I opted for this set and not the one that comes with a screw driver because who doesn't already have a screwdriver in their tool kit? Anyways, the Tool feels great in the hand is VERY confrontable. The handle is molded plastic with rubber grips. Crimping pressure (how far down it crimps) is adjustable. The crimper uses a ratchet method so you don't accidently slip. This also lets you increase hand pressure a little at a time which is wonderful. When you hit the full crimp pressure the tool automatically unlocks releasing pressure. If in the event you cannot get full pressure to release there is a bar latch in-between the handles you can use to release the ratchet tension. The dies that it comes with are very wide for an even and professional crimp every time. Those cheap crimpers you get other places only crimp in a tiny spot which means sometimes you have to crimp then connector twice or more! Not with this tool, once and done! Changing dies is extremely easy. Just use a Philipps head screwdriver to remove two screws, one on the top die and one on the bottom. then change dies and replace screws. in the event you lose a screw, this set comes with two EXTRA screws! How awesome is that? This set also comes with almost every die you will need. I mostly use Insulated connecters so I mainly use die A but sometimes use others. I thought I'd never use the Solar connector Die but just recently actually used it and it worked wonderfully! Incase you forget what die is used for what, this little kit comes with a card with pictures of every die and the types of connecters each die is used for and wire sizes. that is EXTREAMLY helpful. The dies are each labeled A,B,C, ext. Also the case which holds the dies is also labeled in each slot for A,B,C, ext. So there is no confusing where each die goes or what they are used for. In conclusion, this set is well worth the money paid for it and is extremely helpful and comfortable to use. Not only that but it gives a good solid professional crimp every time. I have used this set hundreds of times. I have also installed 2 stereos in 2 different cars using this set and it was such a great tool to use. It not only made the job easier but it also made the job more solid and reliable. So please do yourself a favor and get this set, you will not regret it!

Great Crimping Kit
The crimping set came in a nice plastic case, containing all six sets of crimps and two extra screws for replacement of the originals, if needed. Everything arrived clean and well-oiled. I used three of the six crimps on a recent project, and I'm quite impressed. Each of the crimps do their job very well and changing them out is barely a hassle, just 2 screws. Overall, a great tool to have that should last you for life if you treat it right.

Wow! Seriously impressed with this crimper so far!!
Wow, I am seriously impressed with this crimper! After getting this out of the included storage case, I used the heat shrink crimping jaws to crimp a heat shrink spade connector on a 16 AWG wire, and it worked perfectly the first time. Then I changed the jaws to the insulated connector jaws, and I crimped an insulated connector onto a 20 AWG wire, and it worked perfectly the first time. That is two for two, on two different style crimp connectors, with excellent crimp quality and holding power! I have never had that type of success with any other crimpers I have used. I'm definitely looking forward to continuing to use these, and expect that they will work very well for my occasional wiring needs. Changing the jaws was pretty quick and easy with a screwdriver. However, one slight challenge I had with that, is lining the top and bottom insulated connector Jaws up with each other. I say slight challenge, because it really was just a small challenge/inconvenience. If I seated both the jaws fully into the crimper, then the two jaws weren't perfectly aligned with each other. What I did to remedy that, was simply to tighten down the bottom jaw, and then align the top jaw with the bottom jaw before tightening it down. No big deal, and seem to work very well. This is a good one, just like the many other positive reviews show!

Great Tool for a Hobbyist
Does a great job crimping and seems well made, I have wanted one for a while to use for car audio, The jaws switch out very easy and have a sturdy grip. There are two reasons I gave 4 stars, 1- sometimes the jaws get stuck if you close them 3/4 to hold the splice and insert the wire, you have to release and do a full pull. They may just need adjustment. 2- You have to reference the included paper to know what jaws to use, it would be nice if the case or jaw was labeled.

Great crimper
I've had some time to use this crimper on a few projects, and use a couple of different crimping inserts. All I can say is I don't know why I waited so long in my life to get this. I absolutely love this tool! When you are using the appropriate jaws, it takes the guesswork out of wondering if you have a good crimp or not. I have a couple of "regular" crimpers, one I've had probably close to 35 years, and now they are just taking up space on my tool chest. Might just toss them! Oh, and the plastic case it comes in, keeps all the other crimp jaws right there and there is an extra set of the screws that are used to lock the jaws in place. This has to be one of my new favorite tools!

Right out of the box high quality.
The inserts are not cheaply made. Very smooth and ptecision/refined. Nice to see.. tool was superior as well. Immediately went to work as soon as I received it and it has done the best crimps of any piecewise crimper tool that I have purchased. It has an economic grip and smooth action. Everything aligns well.

Premiers tests très concluants sur les cosses isolées. Mâchoires "B" Dommage qu'il est necessaire d'utiliser un tournevis pour le changement des mâchoires. Mais ces modèles sont plus chers.

Works fantastic. I work in marine electrical and this has been a time saver. Crimps with the right force for a secure connection and delicately enough not to tear the heat shrink outer sheath of the crimps. I’d recommend it.

Crimping worked flawlessly. I recommend this tool, it is very versatile and not that expensive.

Item arrived swiftly and was exactly as described. I was aware from the information that this particular 6 piece set does not have the extra snips and screwdriver included with the 8 piece featured in the promotional video. The item appears robust as do the interchangeable crimps. The ratchet action is smooth and works well. As others have said the set comes with a set of crimps in place and the screws holding them are especially tightened but came away with a good fitting screwdriver and bit of force. Haven’t yet used it but it appears easy to use and I like the idea of the different purpose crimp sets being both easily identifiable and accessible within the moulded plastic case. Very pleased so far with purchase.

I bought this crimping set at the same time as buying a Ferrule crimping kit, as I needed to rewire my trailer. I did weigh up buying everything I needed for the rewire against paying for it to be done at tow bar fitting centre, and whilst there probably wasn't too much in it, decided that should I have any future lighting problems, at least I'd have an understanding of how it all worked and could solve any problems without taking the trailer back. The Ferrule crimper did a fantastic job of connecting the 7 pin socket and connecting all the wires to a terminal box, but the lights all required Female connectors, and the reason why I bought Haisstronica. I had intended to buy the tool as standard for use with insulated crimps but at the last minute I opted for the 6 piece kit, just in case, and I'm glad I did, as the lights required non insulated female crimps. I've since used the crimper on another project with insulated crimps, so I'm happy the 6 piece kit was the right choice. I will say that with all the non insulated crimps, I had to use thin nose pliers to bend all the sides of the crimps in for the crimper to work correctly, but I'm going to say this was down to the crimp and not the tool. Perhaps I need to buy some decent quality crimps to confirm this, but for now, I won't change the 5 star rating. The tool is well made and presented in a nice case, the only negative I have is, I'd love to know what they used to tighten the screws up that hold the jaws in place. The screws were so tight I sprayed them with WD40 and still broke the head of my screwdriver! Perhaps it was just it's time to give up after 15 years of use! Someone with small hands may struggle a bit to get to grips with this tool and you do have to give it a proper squeeze to make the sure the crimps are secure, but the results are perfect.
