Supplements, Female Balance™ w/ Wild Yam, Vitex, Dong Quai, 90 Veg Caps

A little background: I was on birth control from a young age because of irregular periods and cysts. From then on, I had very regular and light periods with literally no symptoms otherwise (never experienced a cramp, migraine, etc). In college, I had an ovary removed because of a benign tumor, but I continued to have regular monthly periods. I stopped taking the pill in my early 20s, and shortly thereafter started having kids. I am now 37, with 4 kids, and in the past few months, things changed. Although cramping still hasn't occurred, I started bleeding very heavily, getting migraines and being nauseous, and was a train wreck emotionally. Two years ago I took an Everlywell test and it said my estrogen was really high and my progesterone was really low. My obgyn said the symptoms are likely the start of perimenopause that could last the next 7-10 years and gave me lots of hormonal medications as options to research and get back to her. But I decided to try a more natural route first and this was my first pick. It's only month one but I did take it as instructed with meals, 3x a day (sometimes I'd forget one of the 3), and I stopped when I got my period as instructed. I had a slight headache the day before my period but that's it (and usually it's much worse than a slight headache). The bleeding was much lighter, it only lasted 4 days (and 2 of those days it was quite light), and no emotional train wreck. I have had no side effects other than my period came 3 days later than expected. Highly recommend giving this a try if you want to balance hormones a bit more naturally. It may not work for everyone but so far it has been so helpful for me and I feel much better about this than putting artificial hormones into my body.

I was very skeptical of this but I have noticed a huge improvement in my cycle and how I feel. I took birth control on and off for over a decade, had 2 kids, went on accutane and entered into my 30s. I was having terrible headaches around my cycle, constant cramping leading up to and for the duration of my period, horrid cystic acne, significant hair loss and spotting for 1 to 2 weeks before my period. I started this balance medication and am about to be on my second cycle on it and I feel so much better. My headaches, if I even have them, are so much more manageable, my hair loss has been cut in half if not less and no more spotting! I still cramp a little but nothing crazy. I was worried this would cause me to break out with cysts like before I went on accutane but I have had maybe 3 tiny whiteheads nothing more! I was also napping like every other day because I was so exhausted but I haven’t taken a nap since I started this medicine! I’m not sure how exactly but it truly works! I will be reordering for the foreseeable future.

I know everyone is different, so results will vary. But, I can say that they do help with my PMS. I get all sorts of symptoms that are wildly similar to early pregnancy symptoms (ugh!). I couldn't take it anymore!! So, after doing some research, and wanting a reputable company, I went with these. I take one a day for two weeks prior to my period. Do the symptoms disappear entirely? No, but I'm pleased with the results. Will be buying again.

Coming from the extreme skeptic, this stuff actually helped! The last couple winters I noticed I was extremely moody and having extreme mood swings. Last winter I started taking vitamin D and that seemed to help last year, but I tried that again this winter and it did not improve anything! I was so moody, angry, impatient with my husband and my kids, I was yelling, screaming at them sometimes which is so not like me. I couldn't stand myself. TMI but I have an IUD so I don't have periods, so I didn't even realize that my symptoms were coinciding with my cycle until I had some light spotting for three months in a row. The two weeks before the spotting I was a monster. Then that first week of my period I was tolerable, then the second week I was crazy happy, almost hyper. So that week was kind of fun but the next two weeks that followed were hell, for me and my family. (I'm 31 with two small kids.) I seriously thought I might be bipolar until I realized it was coinciding with my cycle (I tracked it with hormone horoscope for a couple months. great app). I was googling mild bipolar disorder, seasonal affect disorder, and extreme pms, which is when I found out about PMDD which is what I think my problem is. So then I googled treatment for that and in an effort to avoid SSRIs I tried every natural remedy I could find: I continued my vitamin D, doubled my calcium supplement, added evening primrose oil, vitamin E, and this female balance. So I'm not sure I can say it is JUST the female balance that has made a world of difference, but the combo sure has. I am not having mood swings!! I still have bad days of course but I don't feel like I am completely out of control of my emotions. I have so much more patience with my kids and I actually really truly enjoy my husband again! During a string of busy 12 hr shifts (I'm a RN) I forgot to take my pills for three days in a row, and the combo of the stress/sleep deprivation/no pills made me a raging monster again. So who knows, maybe it's placebo effect, but whatever it is, I'LL TAKE IT!! I don't hate myself anymore and I feel happy again! Oh and I don't take three a day, I do one in the morning and one at night. All of the stuff adds up to a lot of pills, but it's a small thing for large results.

Short story: BUY IT, IT HELPS PMS & MOOD SWINGS 💯 Long story: Ok, so I’ve had horrendous pmdd, pms, call it whatever you want, but mood swings galore starting the week before my period since I was 16. I always thought I just had to deal with it and hide out so I don’t hurt anyone lol. I’ve been taking female balance for a few months and I can honestly say TAKE IT!! If you have bad mood swings do it!! It takes the edge off. It doesn’t make everything disappear but it makes it so much more manageable. I still get extra sensitive and a little moody but I can snap out of it much easier. My cramps ( I get horrible cramps as well) were not really affected by this pill but a few ibuprofen does the trick for that or cbd oil if you prefer. I take 2 every morning and then when the week before my period comes I amp up to 3 a day. I also take Now Mood Support (2 a day) but make sure you eat with those or you’ll get nauseous. With those two I really feel so much more balanced! Hope this helps I know this is a long journey or trial and error Good luck

Everyone's bodies are different. You may have success with this, but I didn't. I promise, I tried ruling out every single possibility of other things to cause my issues before writing this review. Previous to purchasing these, I kept getting ads on Instagram for a similar product and did research so I decided to try this (cheaper and easier to order from Amazon). Based on other reviews, I was very hopeful this would relieve a lot of my hormonal based issues including my endometriosis related ones. Unfortunately after 3 weeks of use I had to discontinue. I was having some pretty severe GI type issues (I won't go into graphic deal) that have forced me to discontinue. Even with my endometriosis symptoms I deal with, I would rather go through that then send my body into the tailspin this supplement did. My skin has also gotten worse, unsure if that is because of this supplement or not but I am going to assume so based on the timing of other issues. I really wanted to love this :( I have no complaints regarding packaging, the product itself or anything like that - just its effects on my body.

I was extremely worried at age 70 about my skin which was beginning to feel reptilian! The doctor told me that I needed to take hormones the rest of my liife. I prayed for a less expensive answer and almost a year ago found NOW Female Balance. NOW, over several months, it has rejuvenated my skin, making it silky soft and no longer getting pocks or brown marks. Now my daughter's skin has bounced back to normal in just a couple of months' time, tho I did include a couple of other products for her hyperthyroidism diagnosis. How grateful I am for Yehovah God having put His Healing Nature into Nature and that some people are willing to share these secrets with others!!!

These vitamins gave me terrible gastric discomfort, nausea and headache just to name a few. I had extreme crapping and felt like I was going to start my period everyday for the last week and a half. My reaction was almost immediate after taking the first pill however, I kept taking them (once per day then increased to 2 per day always with food) thinking my body needed to get use to them. I believe these have too many different types of hormonal influencing ingredients (vitex, dong quai, GLA and wild yam). I will next time try something that as only 1 of those (likely only vitex). I was hoping these would relieve pms and mentrual cramps however they instead gave me everything they were suppose to prevent. I read online the side of effects of each of the ingredients in this product and they each can cause everything I experienced. Every women is different so I am sure it's not the same for all but I recommend stop taking if you experience stomach upset on the first dose.
