My go-to brand for Creamed Coconut, good , consistent quality. I use in Thai/Jamaican/Indian Cuisine to flavour and thicken sauces. The oil appears as a solid at the top of the block - this is normal. I use either all together if making coconut "milk" or separate and use as a cooking oil.

After reading how much "non" coconut is in the tinned milks, I started using these cream blocks for all variants of Indian and easy Asian curries. They can be hard to find in supermarkets and often up to £2 each. If you know you're going to use them regularly, buy in bulk! Quality wise, they are great, a little grainier than tinned milks, but that just adds to the thickness and authenticity of the sauces to me!

Very impressed with this, comes in 12 solid cigarette box sized cartons. Cut the carton open and you have a plastic sealed block of creamed coconut or coconut butter as they call it in the US. Be warned, the top 20% if each block is solid condensed coconut oil, that doesn't taste very nice, but below that is the good stuff. I'd been buying the jars on here and it Tesco for £5 per 500g but this is better value and easier to carve up/get out

This creamed coconut is fantastic and honestly I think I might stock up on it. Now y'all need to understand something (cuz apparently some did not) creamed coconut (or coconut butter) is literally the meat and oil of a mature coconut that has been dehydrated and is blended or ground into a paste then packed like a brick in this case with no other ingredients other then 100% coconut. Yes you need to becareful how high your heat is when using this as it can an will burn medium heat at the highest, i suggest a low and slow melt. Coconut milk is totally different process in which coconut meat is shredded and placed in water to soak and fat from the process will be removed and the water strained so nothing is in the final milk well unless you count the thickeners and all that which companies do indeed add. You can make coconut milk with creamed coconut but depending on how much coconut flavour you want you may have to add lots of water if you want a very light coconut taste but you might need a thickening agent.
