Be Wary - Water Resistant and Not Waterproof
I very rarely write product reviews, but felt I must for this product. I bought this product as it was advertised as waterproof unlike some of the other dog coats I was looking at. I work in the outdoor industry for a manufacturer and am therefore around waterproof clothing and outdoor gear all of the time. To put it simply this coat is water resistant at best, the seams are not taped or welded and therefore it is not waterproof. I contacted Amazon after my father took the dog out in the rain and it came back soaked, there were no dry patches. Amazon were really helpful and sent me a replacement to try, unfortunately this also did not have taped seams, it also had a broken press stud and missing stitching on the waterproof zip. So two jackets both with problemsOn a positive note I found the sizing to be good and the primary aim to keep the dog cleanish (white dogs and mud!) worked. Unfortunately in anything more than light Manchester rain I feel the jacket is not up to the job.

Brilliant service. Bought the large thinking I might need extra belly room for my dog for movement as stated in the description but the large coat was to big. Was able to return it for free by a helpful member of staff on the phone to amazon customer service. If you want to return it and click you want a replacement they will automatically send you the same size. I thought I'd get a choice via email before they sent abother but this wasnt the case. Quickly amended with free fast delivery added on by Amazon customer service. The medium coat fits great. Her legs stay in it and she is able to run and jump whilst wearing it playing with her ball on the field. Love this coat.

Best Buy!
Item came quickly and fit my bichon well. The only issue was the length of the front legs. They were slightly lose around the cuff and a little bit long for him, but it was easy to sort with a little stitch to tighten them. He can move freely; run, go up and down steps and hills, go to the toilet. It’s great that I only have to wash his little feet now and not all of his legs, tummy and chest.

Great to keep you best mate dry!!
This raincoat fits lovely!! It's good quality and has a zip along the back so this is easy to put on. Short on the front legs to accommodate to carpal pad, and longer on the back legs. It has an adjustable elastic waist so that your boy can do his business, but keeps the tummy dry. Also has an adjustable elastic front and a popper collar which can be removed if you want to but will keep your dog dry if you walk with a harness and not a collar.my dog was a little confused by the noise when walking the first time as it has a crinkly sound, but soon got used to it. Arrived quickly too. I got a medium size which was a great fit for my Shih tsu/Bichon cross.

RAINCOAT
The medium size is ideal for my bichonxshitzu, the popper on the collar broke as soon as I took it off, have not tried it in the pouring rain yet so do not know if it is waterproof, found the legs to be a bit short so still have to bath dirty paws but overall seems ok and it looks good to, although she is not happy about it going on but once in the park she forgets it. The collar seems to be a waste as it does not go over head.

Mixed feelings
This is easy to get on - the fact it zips over the back makes it very simple to get on, and even easier to get off. The zip design also makes it easy to ensure you don't catch the fur - except when the fur is black! I have two dogs - the white one it's easy to zip, the black dog, I've caught her fur on occasions because I can't see which is fur at times. The orange one would solve this - but they don't seem to be available. The legs aren't long enough. My dogs have 'feathers' on their legs that are mud magnets - and the legs of this coat only go to their knees, so the dogs get muddy even when wearing it. Kind of defeats the object. Also, when out for a walk, my little dog somehow managed to pull her legs out of the coats - several times - which was a little dangerous at times as she got her leg twisted at an angle inside. It is relatively waterproof though - so if looking for a suit to keep the dog dry, this is OK. If looking for a suit to stop the dog getting filthy on a muddy walk - it's not good for long haired double-coated dogs with long fur down the legs. Also not a great fit for dogs with a spitz tail that curls up and over their body - I have to fasten the coat back at the end, to allow the tail to still curl. That said - this would be great for a short coated dog with a 'normal' tail.

Very happy
I had to make a decision... As my very small cavalier is slightly inbetween sizes. Luckily I made the right decision to buy a small, it fits him very well. We have other coats similar to this but more heavyweight and I wanted a full cover coat for milder wet weather.A TIP. I always thread elastic through the legs and bottom holed area to make it fit without gaping. I've done this with every full coat he's owned. One thing though, it is odd that the front legs are short!? I would have preferred it long like the back legs. We haven't tried it out doors yet but he has tried it on. I do think the neck would be better to be a little higher, but it looks lovely on him, we will wash when needed in nix wax proofer and re spray when needed.I will be buying another!

Legs too short
This is very good quality, arrived quickly. Relatively easy to get on and off as zips all the way down the back like an anorak. Why only 4 stars? I have a small shaggy dog with short legs so bought a size small. This fits perfectly in the body but the legs only reach halfway down my dogs legs and the detachable hood only covers his neck not head. Wore out for a muddy walk and came back with filthy coat and clean dog, apart from his lower legs. Coat washed well in the washing machine on a 40deg wash on the quick cycle and dried overnight hung up by radiator.Just a shame not longer in legs
