Can this be hung over a kids bed? I have a toddler & twin beds.

You could probably rig it to work. I'm not sure what you mean by hanging it "over" a kids bed - hanging it on what? There are several velcro straps for attaching it to a bike, if there are some sort of posts on the bed you could possibly use the velcro straps to attach it - depending how thick the posts are. There's also a shoulder strap for carrying it over your shoulder. Keep in mind, this is basically a pouch with a flat bottom. I'm not sure it will work for you application.

Is this cup holder good for mountain biking? Does it come loose under a lot of vibration?

I use this on my electric commuter bike but I bike pretty hard. (That sounds ridiculous, I know) but I used the provided straps to attach to my stem and top tube and it’s solid AF. On a mountain bike, as long as you cinched the draw string part right, your bottle ain’t going nowhere!

Does this bike water bottle holder hold heat?

The bottle holder has excelent insulation properties. Things stay cold. Things stay hot. It also will hold a 30 oz Yeti travel mug.
