Thoughtful and convenient
When our 5mo son started sitting without support and reaching for everything we ate, but still didn't have the swallowing reflex, we got him those to lick and chew and get used to different flavors while he worked out the rest.Pros:- sensible colors (buying from Amazon.com, this actually mattered to us - whenever we try buying anything where "colors may vary", we seem to get a lot of pink in the mix!)- white feeder mesh (never felt comfortable about colored ones going in his mouth)- removable feeder mesh (much easier to soak and clean)- safety closure (there's a knack to opening it - one hand presses both clasps while the other twists off the top - but apart from the practice it takes, it's great that the baby cannot open it, and that it's so well integrated into the top it won't scratch or break off)- feeder cover (great on the go)- simple design (this is not a toy, and I really like that it's not covered in cartoons or molded into difficult to clean patterns)Cons:- the hem inside the mesh tends to trap bits of food- the cooling compartment can leakI've never had any trouble cleaning the mesh, however. I just wash it immediately after use with soap and really hot water, and if there's any food trapped, I use the bottle brush and it all comes out. That said, we've only used the feeder for sweet potato and banana, and other foods could be more tricky to clean.

Difficult to open
Pros:comes with capscomes with 2 replacement mesh partsgood priceCons:difficult to openThese work as well as any mesh feeder, and are a good value. But the latch on the top requires you to push in two "buttons" and twist. It's frustrated me a couple of times when I have wet or hands that are slippery with food and a screaming baby who wants a snack! I think the Munchkin brand is easier to open.

The item delivered is not the item in the photo
I was expecting the item in there photo- two teethers plus two extra bags. What I received was a sassy teether feeder. One with no extra bags. I chatted with amazon and they were apologetic and sent out a second item free of charge. I feared the item would be wrong again but I was assured it would be the correct item. The second shipment was the same as the first- wrong item again. Now I have two feeders but they are the wrong style and no extra bags. Ugh!

love *this* item, but the one I received ISN'T the one pictured
I like the Sassy feeder better than the other mesh feeders out there because the bag is completely removable for cleaning - other brands the mesh is attached and therefore very difficult to clean - you can read all about those technical details in other reviews.Demoted to 3 stars here because the feeders I received were NOT the ones pictured. They are seemingly an earlier edition of the Sassy teether - the handle is a different shape, the travel lids are a different shape, the locking mechanism appears different from the outside, and does not have the water-filled base. I am returning (frustratedly!!) because I wanted additional teethers to work with the ones we already have, and I wanted them all to work together mix & match (not keeping track of "this set" and "that set"). I'm not opening the package because I'm worried I won't be able to return it once open. And annoyed because the item shipped should be the EXACT same item pictured.

Not as pictured - it's cheaper quality
I ordered a set of these Sassy Teething Feeders when my child was transitioning to solids and first teething. The quality of the product was good and the part the child holds onto could be put into the fridge/freezer and it would cool off a water pocket to keep the fruit that was put into the netting cold for a little bit longer. This didn't work very well for my child at that time. It was messy and seemed like most of the fruit ended up on clothing or anywhere else except in the tummy. We stopped using it.Fast forward almost a year and my child is still trying to pop out a few molars and we tried the Sassy Teething Feeder again. This time, being a year older, it worked amazingly! There was minimal mess to clean up after using it and one of my child's favorite things to do is go on a walk with the Sassy Teething Feeder and frozen fruit stuffed inside. At 16mo and up, this thing has been well worth the money.Unfortunately, one of the covers broke and i couldn't find a replacement, so I thought I would just order another one. I saw the two pack here for a decent price and went for it. What we received in the mail, however, is dramatically different. The plastic feels cheaper, the netting isn't as secure in the holder (if we try to push it full of fruit like the old one, the netting will pop out of place), and there's no longer a small pocket of water to help keep the fruit cold. I'm not sure if I received a knockoff, but the quality of the product has definitely taken a nose dive compared to what it was a year ago. I will need to contact the manufacturer to see if I really did get a knockoff. As it stands now, I WOULD NOT BUY this Sassy Teething Feeder again. I think there are other alternative out there for less money. If the product I received would have been the same as my last one, I would highly recommend this feeder. It didn't work for us when we ordered the first one about 10 months ago, but it works great for us now. Once again, because of the quality of the product I received this time has gone down, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND and would not buy this again.
