Stop drips and plumb properly
I've been DIY plumbing for over 40 years and although I have the standard DIY manuals - and they are very good - all the same this goes into the sort of detail you need to fix those annoying and worrying plumbing problems.True it won't make you into a qualified and experienced plumber, but it does give confidence both to do work yourself or explain to a professional. For example; how to get the syphon and control gear out from a close-coupled toilet without breaking anything. It is a Haynes manual so it lives up to expectation for completeness and very well illustrated throughout with clear colour photos. Some are from real plumbing jobs so you can see what it is you're dealing with.If you only have one plumbing book for home use this would be it. Thoroughly recommended and with nice touches of humour to alleviate stress.

Easy to read...Job done!
This book is a must if you think you can't do plumbing. So easy to read, brilliantly illustrated and a step by step guide for the complete novice. Written with accuracy and humorous wit. Not knowing the difference between a tap and stopcock, I successfully repaired a leaking outside tap thanks to this book by replacing the expansion nuts and olives. Fantastic purchase...now what else can I repair!

Invaluable book to own.
Just what I wanted! Well written in plain English without jargon but including a little bit of humour. The book covers every subject that I, as a keen DIY’er am ever likely to tackle about the house. What I particularly like is that I am now well equipped to deal with all the plumbing and heating ‘emergencies’ that occur in most of our homes from time to time.

A really useful and well illustrated book
Perfect for someone - like me - who has always avoided plumbing jobs when doing DIY.The book is extremely well illustrated, clearly laid out and everything is explained in simple terms. The book also takes the format of tackling various plumbing jobs and provides a step by step explanation (with photos) as to how to complete them. Example: How to install an outside garden tap starting from internal plumbing. If you want to start learning basic plumbing then this is the book to buy. Highly recommended
