ESV Illuminated™ Bible, Art Journaling Edition (Cloth over Board, Navy)

A beautiful bible, lovely illustrations. Previous reviews will say this bible is missing certain passages and this is true. However, this is intentional and is often the case for the ESV of the bible. These are often repeated elsewhere. Just ask Google why or ChatGPT and it will offer a fuller explanation. But just to be clear, the bible is complete. There is no fault with it. It’s absolutely as it should be.

Wonderful Bible. The artwork is amazing, I almost don't want to write in it for fear of ruining it! I made a start though, and continue to look forward to highlighting and note taking in what will hopefully be my Bible for many years to come.

This is a superb Bible. The ESV, to my ear, is the best - by which I mean the truest, the most God-honouring - translation of God's Word now out there. The NKJV, which I used for many years, now sounds quite clunky in comparison. This edition, cloth-bound, is a joy to handle and read. It has also been well-bound; the pages fall open naturally, without any stiffness, anywhere from Genesis to Revelation. The illustrations are tasteful, and aesthetically-pleasing, but do not overwhelm the Word itself: rather, they complement it, and draw you into the relevant passage. In such a manner they also operate, I would suggest, as an aide memoire. It ought to be pointed out to the prospective buyer that the illustrations are not of scenes in the Bible, or of Biblical characters, but are centred exclusively on text. Therefore the edition is entirely 'safe' for a Reformed (evangelical) Christian such as myself to use: the principle of the prohibition against the use of graven images is not violated, although one might say, I suppose, that in its spirit this edition is closer to Luther than to Zwingli. Which is just fine by me. Highly recommended.

I love love love it 😍😍 It has lovely gold verses on the sides and in between pages. It also has lovely illustrations for each chapter title. It even has a section in the back that explains each of the illustrations for the chapter titles

Bought this Bible as a gift. The illustrations are beautiful and the marings on the side is perfect for taking notes. Each Book has an introduction illustration relevant to the Book. The cover is a high quality finish as well and it comes with a protective illustrated box for storage.

This is so good that it feels like you need another for day to day use and this for special occasions.

I have never seen a more beautiful Bible book. I recommend it.

This is an absolutely beautiful journaling Bible. The pages are cream colored and can handle writing and highlighting well. It doesn’t have a dictionary, concordance, references or maps so I use it alongside my study Bible. It has one ribbon marker. The gold artwork in it is beautiful.

Inicialmente fue para un obsequio, el tamaño que tiene es bastante práctico, no es para viaje, es más para tenerla en casa, en palabras de quien la recibió, es la mejor que ha tenido y visto. Fue muy buen detalle y original, recomendable!

Deffinetly amazed by the look and the structure of the inside. Had to wait for my paycheck, but every penny was worth. Amazing masterpiece. Deffinetly a must buy for all the book lovers, bible l8vers, readers, bible or book collectors and so many more 😂
