I am extremely pleased with this cleanser. It's gentle on the skin yet very effective. Specifically, the nourishing formulation and the oil-to-milk transformation are key features that I love. I thought I was ordering the lotion, then realized it was user error that I ended up with a cleanser. I’d already ripped it out of the box, so I gave it a try and really enjoy it. I don’t use it on my eyes because it’s very thick and I’m not sure how the essential oils would affect my sensitive eyes, but I love it for days when I’m only wearing a sunscreen that I want to take off in a double cleanse (or I’ll use a separate makeup remover for my eyes). I love the smell and it helps in the winter when the air is super dry. It also just feels luxurious.

I discovered this cleanser because I am obsessed with the Skin Food line of moisturizers. This cleanser immediately became a must-have for my skincare regimen. I have dry to combination skin, 40 years old, and am very serious with my skin care. However, I do not believe that expensive and 'fancy' equates to effectiveness. Weleda's Skin Food line is the perfect example of this mentally. This cleanser gently removes your makeup and the build up from your day time activities while keeping your skin feeling hydrated. I will sometimes apply it in the morning and keep it on as a mask while drinking coffee or eating breakfast. The only cleanser / makeup remover that makes my skin feel better because I put it on. For those saying it does not remove makeup- it definitely does, I wear a ton of makeup regularly, especially on my eyes, and this is the only makeup remover I use. You just have to use enough product and be willing to actually rub it into your eyelids, which it is 100% gentle enough to do. I do sometimes follow this up with a toner or a gentle enzyme cleanser if my skin is needing a light exfoliation.

Left my face with a slight burning, heat response. Liked the idea of it but my skin spoke up saying“don’t use this on me!”
