High utility, portable USB-C hub. Slower to heat than some other portable USB-C hubs.
This attractive, portable USB-C (USB 3.0) hub sports all the ports that I need to deliver a presentation from my MacBook Pro: a USB-C uplink port and six downstream ports (2xUSB-A USB3.0, 1xHDMI, 1xRJ45 (ethernet), 1xUSB-C USB3.0 data, and 1xUSB-C PD-only). All devices where recognized and automagically worked under MacOS (12.5.1) and Mint Linux (21).With all internal devices initialized but nothing external attached, the hub's quiescent current use was ~0.1A (100mA). The hub reports supporting per-port-power switching (ppps), so is uhubctl compatible. Turning off all ports reduced quiescent current use to ~0.08A (80mA). On this hub, per-port power switching appears to shut down the USB data lines but did not shut down the USB power lines. Lower current use is desirable: (1) for longer run times when powered by battery and (2) less power dissipated as heat. Documentation for this hub suggests that it may get up to 122℉ during use. Nonetheless, I found that it warmed more slowly than several other comparable USB-C hubs.[Update 20220917]: I recently repeated testing of this hub. Same hardware as used previously, with the only difference being a new MacOS revision (12.5.1 -> 12.6). In this most recent set of tests, the PD3.0 Fast Role Swap functionality consistently worked as advertised -- flash drives on the USB-C and USB-A ports remained connected during attaching/detaching a PD power source. I'm glad to report that this hub's implementation of PD3.0 now works correctly with my MacBook Pro. It appears that some systems may have subtle PD3.0 soft- or firm-ware compatibility issues.Marketing claims "PD3.0 Fast Role Swap: The device will not get disconnected while plugging in and out a PD Power Adapter." The hub's power port does report being a PD3.0 USB-C device. During testing, attaching or detaching a power source to the hub's power port would, in fact, reliably knock any (USB-A port) attached thumb-drive(s) offline. The drives would be quickly re-recognized and re-attached, but that connectivity disruption menaces data loss or corruption. To be data-safe, caution is required when attaching/detatching a PD power source.Things I've not yet tested: if devices attached via the USB-C port are also knocked offline during a PD change; if the onboard ethernet device is disrupted during a PD change; how ppps interacts with the PD3.0 device. I'll update my review if/when meaningful findings emerge.Technical information: uhubctl reports the primary (USB3) hub to be [2109:0817 VIA Labs, Inc. USB3.0 Hub, USB 3.20, 4 ports, ppps]; Port 1: 0203 power 5gbps U0 enable connect [0b95:1790 ASIX AX88179A]; Port [2..4]: 02a0 power 5gbps Rx.Detect. The shadow (USB2) hub is [2109:2817 VIA Labs, Inc. USB2.0 Hub, USB 2.10, 5 ports, ppps; Port [1..4]: 0100 power; Port 5: 0503 power highspeed enable connect [2109:8817 VIA Labs, Inc. PD3.0 USB-C Device].Disclaimer: I received this product to evaluate and review through the Amazon Vine program. I report my lived experience of the product with care.

Works great but gets warm
It works just great. The only thing you might notice is that it does get hot if you use it for power. However, I have been using it for a few weeks now and it seems to work fine.

発熱が凄い
iPadに繋げて充電しながら映像出力しながらUSBのデータを読み込むということをやっていたら発熱&充電出来ませんでした。
