The glycerin is 'not' USDA certified because it is not a certified organic product. It does not have to be USDA certified, but it does have to meet FDA guidelines and that would be an Amazon question since it is food grade. Amazon should as a seller, have all the required documentation.

What is the shelf life?

My bottle does not have an expiration date. I'm keeping it in a cool, dry pantry.
