Pleasantly surprised
I didn't even know that my betta was on its way to fin-rot (first time owner) until a forum member spotted it on the photos I was proudly uploading. After one dose my fish definitely looked healthier and the whitish tips to his fins seem to have disappeared. It is very easy to use, but remove carbon filters if you have them (they'll absorb all the treatment).I also have african dwarf frogs in with the betta, and one was developing cloudy eyes (possibly from a nitrate spike a few weeks ago) - this has also improved since the dose. I couldn't find any information about whether silver proteinate would hurt the frogs so I just went for it and they are fine (so far!)I'll do one more dose after 3 days, then I think that will be it - I can't quite believe it has worked so quickly.(Photos are betta from before treatment, when I thought he looked brilliant, and 24 hours after treatment, when I could see that he hadn't been looking brilliant at all!)

Don’t use this if you have snails. Only three stars because minimal advice on bottle
I contacted King British to ask if this is ok to use in tanks with nerite snails. On the bottle it says 'ornamental fish only' and was told that testing these days on such products is not done as it was in the past because it is thought bad policy to test on creatures that might suffer in consequence, so there is NO advice on using this with snails in the tank and you do so at your own risk, unless you can put the snails in a spare tank... They cover their backs by stipulating 'fish only'..... Having used it, thinking that it would be ok as nothing was said about invertebrates, I then had to change out most of the water just in case.... and have gone back to API products as they are known to be harmless. Further research definitely indicated a problem for snails exposed to silver nanoparticles.
