I recommended the VD10 Live around a year ago but noticed over time that it wasn't all that portable. The battery life of the VD10 is better case-wise, but the microphones and receiver are the same and the governing factor behind what users are bothered about. I hardly had to charge the old case, so it was too large.I couldn't believe how pocketable this new version is. The design is way more sleek, and the battery charge indicator is much better. I love the digital display.As for the sound quality, the last one had a questionable gain/distortion limit. It would always need the sensitivity on full when having the microphones clipped onto your clothes rather than speaking directly into them (as designed). This new version is much more natural, straight out of the box.The build quality is great, and everything naps together well with the strong magnets; I wish the transparent cover had a stronger, better-quality hinge, but I'll accept it for this price.This is still the best kit for this price range for making iPhone videos where recording voice is the focus of your content.

Works really well and is very clear. Use the noise reduction setting if your gain is high.

Here is the deal its just a cheap wireless microphone. If you want it to record vocal it might work fine but don't even think about it for recording anything other than vocal. I was looking for something to record my motorbike rides and a usual and important part of it is the exhaust sound. The recorded sound is distorted at all the time even when the microphone is at lowest volume and its covered with wind breaking fur and placed in my zipped pocket. On any loud noise the sound easily gets distorted.

I've tried many similar mics to record speech and this so far is the best. I tried the Boya ByWM3D, SmartMic+, as well as Xiaolo. With this Comica, the sound is clear, doesn't skip, and doesn't break up at higher volumes. Can't say how well it would do for music or sound effects, but it's great for me. Recommended!

The microphone quality is pretty decent as compared to others. If you have a case on your phone the USBC pin would not plug in. You really need a very slim phone cover to work with it. The customer service had been average at first but excellent later. Battery limitation is only up to 5 hours. The battery case may not sustain the battery for too long. But overall a decent product worth having.

I really like the design and how compact this setup is. I am not new to wireless mics and in fact I own professional setup like Rode Wireless Go and DJI Wireless Mic. But those are a bit bulky and heavy when I am mounting my phone to a gimbal. The dji wireless mic and Comica Vimo S both offer digital signal which works perfectly with my Note 20 ultra. But comica weighs nothing and the setup is so small.The audio is clear with a deep boom, sounded a little like my condenser mic. If you are in post production, I recommend popping in a low and high pass filter in audio effects.The lav mics are tiny and light weight and I don't even feel them on me. Compared to DJI wireless lav mic, DJI is much heavier although it does have internal recording.Overall if you are a casual vlogger and use your phone to shoot a lot, this is a great option!
