I purchased the foot strap because I had hip surgery and ended up with nerve damage in the foot resulting in a foot drop. Without the strap, I had a difficult time sleeping because it was uncomfortable and awkward. I tried sleeping with my custom AFO but it’s made from hard, durable materials which serves me well during the day but quite the opposite for sleeping. The softness and structure of the strap allows me to move around freely in bed without any discomfort (unlike my AFO). The strap is very easy to apply, very light weight, adjustable, soft, washable and incredibly comfortable. I definitely prefer wearing the insert (optional) as well because it provides me with that little bit of extra stability. I’ve been wearing my foot strap device every night since I’ve purchased it. I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a comfortable and soft foot support especially for night time use or for relaxed lounging. I also love that it’s heel-less. I developed a pressure ulcer on the back of my heel due to the drop foot shortly after surgery. The strap, being without a heel, prevents any pressure on my heel thus enabling my ulcer to heal up!! I highly recommend this product and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it again.

Ordered the L/ XL and it was not long enough for foot, W size 12. Sister had knee replacement surgery on leg with severe drop foot and I had to help her with getting her custom AFO/ shoe on to go to the bathroom in middle of the night during initial recovery. I ordered this to trial and allow her her Independence and safety as she lives alone. The only way it worked was by using both of the inserts, intended for offering additional support, to extend the “footplate” to actually reach/ lift her forefoot. And even then it was not under the toes as in photos. I say it “worked” but there was still a risk of toes catching > trip or falling, so the person would have to be careful/ focused on their walking technique. It allowed my sister to put on by herself and get to toilet in more timely manner, reduced dependency and anxiety with needing someone to help, ultimately resuming a healthy sense of normality/ independence. I would recommend this product but it may require adjusting/ finagling since it was not long enough for larger/ longer foot. Material was soft enough to possibly sleep with on, well made and durable. Did not try wearing with a shoe or slipper since it was used only during middle of the night, so no issues with Velcro wearing out, as I saw mentioned in other reviews. Worth the price, met our needs and goals!

I hardly leave a comment BUT....I have tried a few foot products for my drop foot after my tkr and hesitated trying another. The reviews were great. Well here I am walking with this foot wrap and honestly, I am not limping!!! My foot is not dropping at all. It's easy to put on, price is reasonable and it's comfortable. I ordered an open toe with heal shoe for outdoors. I can now go out with family and friends and not just sit around and watch them have fun. I can now comfortably be participating with them all. I wish I bought this months ago. I highly recommend!!!!

Does not fit well.
