How do I connect cable to connector?

Remove the plastic insulation sleeve and slide it over the wire you are connecting. Decide if you are going to use the screws provided to secure the wire or if you are going to solder the wire to the clamp. Buy either electrical spade or ring connectors to install on the wire ( either crimp or solder connector to wire then fasten to the clamp with the screws. Then slide the insulator back on to the clamp. Soldering the wire directly to the clamp is a more stable connection. Using crimp on or soldered connectors allows you to remove the clamp from the wire easily if necessary in the future.

Will 4/0 fit or what size wires work ?

I used smaller wire. I just looked at 4 gauge wire and the clamp. It will work. 4 gauge would be the largest to fit.

Will the 100-500a clamps accept 6awg cable?

Good question! I believe they will but only if you solder the wire directly to the clamp. They come with crimp on ring connectors and screws to attach the wire to pre drilled and tapped spots on the handles. I actually soldered my cable directly to the clamps. You can untwist the stripped end of the your cable to flatten it out in order to do a neat job of soldering it to the clamp.

Can it be used to run 120 / 240 volts at 75 amps temporarily

these are rated for 12v, not 120/240v. 12v x 800 amps (i don't believe these connectors would deal well with that much amperage) = 9600 watts. 240v x 75 Amps = aprox 18,000 watts. I personally would not do it. I question if the clamps would have strong enough grip anyway.

These are great.

I really like thes....They look copper plated They have a strong bite. I attach these to my rv batteries and then i have plenty of space to add any charging clips or accesssories to my batteries. if i get a little corrosion i just give them \ a spin and it gets a new bite of fresh contact metal.

Easy to assemble just the crimp seem a little light all copper well insulated only time will tell if the crimps are to light I can buy heavyer duty if I need to. I'm pleased with them.
