Good fit, stay up without being too tight.

I got pairs of these socks as ordered and tested one leg just to confirm the size accuracy and it is right on. Feeling it softly slide unto my feet.It is so silky smooth that it feels as though it could slip off the feet but it does hold well. The description states that it is designed to a quality level that should 'feel' almost imperceptible and it does come very very close to that. It does not have a tight grip, feeling very relaxed yet it does not sag.The description further states that it should be washed delicately only. No ironing, no tumble drying, no dry clean...nothing else. Just wash and wear when dry.In the brief moment I tried it on, I noticed that it trapped warm air around my feet [like a soft cloud of warm air] in a cold climate that took about a minute or so to dissipate[clear off] after the sock was taken off.Bamboo is stated capable of handling both warm and cold climates respectively as it traps pockets of air opposite in temperature to the climatic temperature that it is exposed to. That means in cold climates, bamboo will trap warm air around the feet, and in warm climates it should trap cold air around the feet.Based on that, it is going with me to a hot climate for testing. This is a repeat purchase of this exact style of sock from Sock Shop as it’s the only socks my Autistic child with fabric & fit sensory issues of clothing can cope with. Yes they are more money than you perhaps would want to spend on school socks, but if it can help alleviate some of the stress of a day & not have your child/yourself feel the clothes are actually hurting then it’s a price I’m willing to pay!

Bamboo socks! I was intrigued and needing some socks ordered them. They look and feel smooth and light but being sized as 7 -11, I'm 9, they do feel a bit big on but are very comfortable. The socks, it transpires, are made from viscose extracted from bamboo so it's a bit of a merchandising ploy to say they are "bamboo socks" after all other socks made from viscose could probably say "chestnut" or "cedar" or " peanut oil" or whatever source, natural or artificial, was used.They have now been worn were comfortable and have been washed and seem to have reduced (I hesitate to say shrunk as it has negative connotations) a very little so the fit feels a little more secure. I don't think I would buy these again unless the manufacturer introduced individual sizes so 9 for 9 or 7 for 7 rather than one size fits 5 as they are presently. For the price paid (not cheap) I expect a better fit so back to M&S in future

Just ordered my second pack of these very comfortable socks.I’ve been wearing regular bamboo socks for the past year or so because they breathe and have very comfortable seams, but I have thick calves and they are very tight on me, so much that after a day’s wear you can see a marked indentation on my legs above the ankle.These Gentle Grip socks however have openings which are slightly wider than the tube of the sock and this makes them easy to put on and very comfortable to wear - no more indentations in the flesh! However because of this I suspect men with thinner legs may find that they fall down.Nor have I had any problems with them wearing through, as other reviewers have complained. OK, they do lose their grip after a few months but for less than the price of a cup of coffee per pair...

I will now be buying these socks for the rest of my life!!! If I tell you the amount of money I spent on socks in the last couple of weeks you'd think I'm crazy but the right fit is very important to me I'm on my feet all day. These feel so good and so far have stood up to the wash test. A bit pricy for 3 pairs but I ain't complaining as they're so good. Already ordered more.
