Two letters per pencil
It’s not easy to find the correct letter as you need to keep flipping the pencils to find it

Little boy loves them and can sound blend the cards after just a few days. He is 2.5 for reference and i wanted something to grow his passion for blending sounds. Perfect for this and the pencils will be an added learning element when the time comes to spell the words too.

This is a fun way for children to learn. I never write reviews but had to for this product! The children love the feature of it looking like a small pencil and it is easy for smaller hands to grasp. It’s engaging and helps them stay focused. It also helps them recognize CVC. It is one of the best learning tools I’ve ever purchased!

Purchased for my daughter. She is a teacher and this was on her list of things she wished for her classroom. The kids love it. Great purchase for a great purpose.

I'm an elementary teacher with many years of teaching. My ADHD granddaughter will be tutored this summer by me. She loves this activity. I have her in CVC word books and have her spell words that she'll encounter BEFORE she reads. This game has a good assortment of CVC words for each short vowel and not words that almost fit the pattern (buy, for, key, etc.) I plan on creating more cards that add two consonants later (led...sled, rag...drag.) This could be used later to learn to spell two or three letter Dolch words. I just wish there are more pencils instead of reusing the backs of the game pieces. Another improvement - add another pencil holder for the five vowels. It's great for tutoring, centers or aides with very small groups. I couldn't locate my granddaughter the others day. I found her using the cards, spelling, then checking with the "spell check" on the back. She loves the tactile spelling with immediate reward. I'm glad I bought it!

Got these for my son at 4 years old and he still enjoys playing/learning with them at 7 years old! The pencils are made so well and will last a lifetime!
