Question 1

how is htis stored?

Accepted Answer

This can store on a shelf (not refrigerated) until it is opened. Once opened, it needs to be refrigerated.
You can buy the freshly prepared food from the JustFoodForDogs web site. It comes frozen.

Question 2

How can puppies and adult dogs eat the same formulation? Don't puppies need additional nutrients to support growth?

Accepted Answer

Thank you for reaching out to us!

We have two diets formulated to meet a growing puppy's needs: Chicken & White Rice and Fish & Sweet Potato.

Both of these diets have the necessary levels of Calcium and Phosphorous a growing puppy needs. You'll want to feed these two recipes until your puppy hits their adult size. These recipes are also formulated and suitable for adult dogs!

Puppies require a larger quantity of food and need to eat smaller meals more frequently. To determine how much to feed your puppy, first establish what his estimated adult dog weight will be. Feeding a puppy is based on a combination of his size, age and estimated adult body weight. Proper nutrition is the foundation for his growth, muscle and skeletal formation, immune system and brain function.

If you'd like to check out more on our perspective on feeding puppies here (http://company.justfoodfordogs.com/learning/life-stages/) is where you can find that information.

Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Have a great day!

Question 3

My dog has itching problems looking for something for her

Accepted Answer

We appreciate your reaching out to us today! We would need a bit more information to help you with your dog's diet options. If you dog is a puppy still the Fish & Sweet Potato listed below may be the best option.
If your dog is a healthy, adult dog we have five diets that may be suitable for allergies (depending on your dog's triggers) but we always recommend that you check with your vet that these diets are suitable for your pup.

The diets are Balanced Remedy, Fish and Sweet Potato, Venison and Squash , Derm Support Fish (Rx required), and Joint and Skin Support. These diets are offered as frozen meals and two of them as DIY Kits (the Fish & Venison).
If none of these diets are suitable for your dog's needs we also have custom diet options where we formulate a diet specifically for your dog.
Additionally, we have supplements that can be used in conjunction with our food that may also be beneficial:

Omega Plus Fish Oil
Skin & Allergy Care

Please feel free to give us a call at (949) 722-3647 for a free, full consultation for your dog anytime! We are happy to help. 🙂
