Great 180° camera
This camrea has a great picture and a full 180° view with 2 lenses that take up only 1channel of a recorder. It may be hard getting use to a very wide view for those who have not used a 180 cam before. It has white LED lights that light up the area and you are able to adjust the brightness of them but if they get taken off auto or you shut them off the image will be darker because there is no IR. But with any surrounding light still make a good color picture. You can also record to a SD card if no have recorder. It has 2 way talk and ePTZ, a new feature that allows digital auto zoom and tracking of a subject with a fixed lens - pretty cool.

Great camera overall, the 180 degree arc is amazing, with a couple minor complaints
Edit after 1year: The unit has totally failed. In the middle of a mild rain it suddenly cut out and even the POE switch showed no link. I pulled it and it was half full of water despite being mounted deep under a soffit with a gutter protecting it. The soffit surface was dry, so I'm assuming this was due to condensation over time. Never had this issue with any other camera. I literally had to pour water out. Original review: Being able to mount a single camera for 180 degrees of coverage is wonderful. The color quality, color night vision, motion detection, and other features all work well. I really only have two complaints. First, there's a significant fish eye effect, not just at the edges of the image, but in the center where the two images are stitched together. And I mean significant. I set it up to test in my living room, and when I walk in front of it I seem to miraculously gain and lose 100lbs across the image. And second, the image stitching in the middle looks like a line where one side is literally a couple inches higher than the other. Things aren't lined up perfectly, and it looks weird. Beyond that though, when an object hits the line while travelling horizontally, it can partially disappear or become freakishly thin looking, then suddenly pop back to normal when it hits a magic crossover point. I actually spent a few minutes watching my own legs suddenly turn into toothpicks or multiple fingers on my hand temporarily disappear before popping back into existence. This could obviously cause issues with anything happening dead center in the view, so consider that before buying. Neither issue is enough for me to not use the camera. It's great having the color night vision, and the coverage is amazing. If I was going to use this to record performance spaces in a club or record anything requiring accurate measurements then I'd absolutely be looking a for a replacement. But for general outdoor surveillance I can deal with some image issues, as long as the security features work properly, which they do.

Outstanding camera!
This is the best camera I own! Superb color night view, excellent day view, 180 degrees, nice simple setup that doesn't flood my network like Amcrest. Don't try to use it close up though. About 5ft in front center between the cameras is a dead spot where both are merged. 10ft out it's warped but reasonable. Is a side effect of merging 2 cameras into 1 image. Is sort of like putting a finger between your eyes. Am using it in Frigate.

Great night image
After installing this camera I immediately ordered another. I bought this for its non-fisheye 180 video to replace my backyard camera that only covered half my yard. When I installed it and saw how great the day and night looked I removed it and replaced my front yard camera instead. Now I'm waiting on the delivery of my 2nd one to replace the camera I originally want to.

This is not a friendly camera but...
I’ve set up plenty of IP cameras and consider myself tech‑savvy, but nothing in the documentation or product listings mentioned that this model ships on a 192.168.1.x subnet. My network is 10.0.0.x, so the camera never appeared in DHCP and I initially returned my first unit because I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t showing up. EmpreTech did replace it quickly, so credit to them for that. Setup is quirky. You must use the Dahua Config Tool to find the camera, and you can’t change its IP from a different subnet. To configure it, you have to connect it directly to your PC, set your NIC to something like 192.168.1.x, and then access the camera. Once you’re on the same subnet, you can switch it to DHCP or assign a static IP. After that, everything works normally. Another gripe: viewing video in a browser requires an old‑school plugin. It doesn’t work in Edge, Chrome won’t even let you log in, and only Firefox handles it properly. The camera itself has a ton of features and solid image quality but make sure you’re using PoE+ or a proper 12‑volt adapter. The aspect ratio looks a little odd, but overall the hardware seems promising. Maybe I’ll end up loving it, but for now the jury is still out.
