Ade Advanced Optics2021TB 20x by 21 mm Triplet Professional Jewelers Loupe, Black with Leather Case

I was looking for an inexpensive loupe that still had enough magnification to check for counterfeit cards. This definitely provided what I needed and came at a price I was comfortable with. The product seems well enough made and hasn’t caused any problems for me. You can see the printing dots and patterns on cards well enough to assess the authenticity (as long as you know what to look for). I am glad it comes with a leather carrying pouch. The case does a relatively good job of keeping it in place and the fastener holds tight. There are a couple of aspects that I wouldn’t mind being improved. The case feels a bit flimsy and not very rigid, which would be nice to better protect the loupe. I do wish that there was some kind of light since I often have trouble getting enough light while using it bent over a table. I’ve also thought about getting one with slightly higher magnification to switch back and forth between. Overall, it’s a basic item but provided what I needed at a really good price. If you want something more professional you may have to look for one that is higher end.

This is a very nice jewelers loupe. It comes with a nice carrying case and has a nice clear magnification of anything you are looking at. It is durable and has a nice feel to it. The price is right, definitely worth every cent. This perfect if your looking for something that is affordable and good quality.

Leather case is a bit cheap so only getting a 4 out of 5

The lens has strong fish-eye distortion, so I highly doubt that this is an actual triplet loupe, or at the very least the lenses were badly matched. However, the black finish did help reduce glare when looking at objects, and I appreciated the wide field of view. The loupe was also sturdily built with metal, and tight nylon hinges kept it from flopping open while hanging around my neck. It also came in a nice leather pouch inside a decorative box.

This loupe is beautiful, it works great, and the quality is good. I love that it came in a little leather case and then in a little box. I'm impressed and would recommend this product and seller.

This came with a really nice little leather case for a 'Triplet Jewelers Loop', unfortunately the contents of the case are unsatisfactory. I seriously just tossed the loop in the trash can. Not really worth the hassle of returning it. You have to get the loop within about 5mm from what you are looking at to get focus and then its difficult to get enough light on the subject to really see whatever it is that you are looking at. Also, only the center portion of the image focuses well, so while it might have 21mm wide optics, it is probably only about 10-12mm of that which is useable.I have wanted to get a replacement Jewelers Loop like the fantastic one I had for my geology class at University many years ago. This is absolutely not in the same league as the professional quality unit I am comparing it to. It also costs less and if you want a cheap, better-then-a-toy-but-still-not-good-quality, go for it. As a viable replacement to a professional quality loop, it falls way short. Nice little leather case though.
