I just wanted a smallish UPS just to power my wifi router & fiber hub in the event of the mains triping or a power cut. As we use laptops we did not need a UPS for those. Got the 800VA as the power needed for the wifi equipment is quite small and I only want it to last for at least 30mins. This UPS should keep it up for over an hour based on our power draw but they do say 40mins in the description as a generic estimate. Anyway.. very easy to set up.. just plug and turn it on. Its small enough to fit under our table and is silent. It seems very well made robust. My video shows a speed test and ping to Internet sites and are not dropped when the mains power is removed or restored. All in all.. excellent UPS esp for the price.

Not much I can say about the device when it worked really... you switch it on, and it protects the devices from power loss for a limited time. I dont get a lot of power cuts, I think i had a single one in the whole time this was running, but this also helped me keep the internet running in a couple of occasions where I needed to turn off the power for switching out light switches for smart ones. What I wasn't expecting was it to just.... die... totally unexpectedly without any obvious signs of what killed it after only 7 months of owning it. I have other UPS from other company and generally these things are reliable. I feel like reliability should be the most important key element with a product designed to protect equipment from power supply issues so this failure with such a simple product, so soon after purchase, is particularly bad. The manufacturer RMA process just said it wasn't available for my part code, but Amazon were excellent and offered me a refund with no questions asked. I would avoid this product and any other from this company if you're in the UK.

Product as described. Working as expected. Would buy again.

Great power supply that has come in handy a couple of times... I got the lower-end model, so understand there would be some drawbacks, but nevertheless a shame you can't disable (or 'acknowledge') the alarm when it's being used, as it is extremely loud.

People based in the UK: Get your UPS's now before Ed Miliband switches us to unreliable energy with rolling blackouts. Where I live we regularly get 'blips' of power outage, this is a must for a desktop. Ideally what you do is when you hear it start up, you put the desktop into hybernation so that you can bring it back later - it probably won't last long on this supply otherwise. My UPS lives happily on top of the desktop, temps and everything seem fine.

Do not buy under any circumstance. As a few other users have complained about, the battery in ours failed after 14 months and this was a very light load : router + Mesh Wi-Fi system. But that is not the worse of it. We decided to open the UPS because when a UPS fails we simply buy a replacement battery and that has always done the job. Shockingly when we opened this one the battery had leaked everywhere inside the UPS. This is D.A.N.G.E.R.O.U.S - I won't mince my words, your house could go up in flames with this device. To understand how bad this is : all battery UPSs are supposed to be leak-proof batteries, for obvious safety reasons. It gets worse : Tecnoware has its own range of UPS batteries but, guess what : they do not use them in their own UPSs - instead it's a literally no-name battery that is inside these UPSs. No name whatsoever. When I bought this UPS, 14 months ago, it's rating was 4.5 on Amazon - it is now 3.8. Do the maths, and read what I have just written : do NOT buy this dangerous short-lasting UPS, do NOT buy this brand - stick to the CyberPower, APC, PowerWalker, UPSs. I am now off to buy three of the above to replace the three Tecnoware I bought 12 to 14 months ago.

The quick install guide says plug it in & use it and also refers to a full instruction guide to download. Sad person that I am, I downloaded the full guide. The guide is generic for all their similar devices. The full instructions said the UPS should be on a tiled floor (the picture on the Amazon web page showed it on a desk). Also that the UPS should be charged for 4 hours before connecting anything to it. Also there is a sticker on the UPS with a QR bar code to register the UPS for a 5 year warranty. After craeting an account on their website I tried to register the UPS but was told that it either didn't exist or that they don't do registrations on that device - I gave up! Having said all of that, the UPS works perfectly for my requirements and passed my testing of switching off mains power. It is only a small power UPS so it should do a basic PC but if you have a large PC I suggest you use a bigger UPS.

Like that this has UK socket outlets Bought for CCTV because I was fed up of it restarting several times a day with recent mini powercuts we have been having. Does the job, keeps things running for about an hour Fraction of the cost of an APC equivalent Fit and forget. no more cctv alarms when it reboots Dislikes: no instructions at all, and very cumbersome to find on t'internet, the Italian site is a complete mess and difficult to find anything. Would have been higher review apart from lack of manual or a link to download it from directly. Even searching for model number on the site proved fruitless, I had to guess the name of the download in the end once I'd managed to negotiate my way to the download section from another product. Very poor. Update some months after purchase. Not very pleased at all with the operation of this. Sure it switches from main to battery backup in the event of a power failure but the battery only lasts about 5 minutes now rather than 45 when new. I would not recommend or buy again, I will go back to APC most likely. May try a new decent quality battery as a replacement to see if that helps, but as it stands it is hardly good enough for the intended purpose, and worn out in just a short few months.
