Toto TMS604124CEFG01 UltraMax II 1.28 GPF One Piece Toilet

I bought three of them. One came in one piece - a great toilet, wonderful product. However, the other two came totally broken. A piece of ceramic pierced through the outer wrapping, which actually cut my finger. Then I found out YOU CANNOT RETURN THEM unless you pay for the shipment. Amazon made me pay approx. $220 to return the shattered toilets (and they weigh together more than 230 lbs). They were received by Amazon on August 6. After several claims to get the refund, I finally received a message saying "it'll take another 25 days to process your refund." So as of now, August 26, I have never seen any refund on them. Too bad TOTO makes great toilets, but Amazon's shipping is just a nightmare. An additional note: After Amazon, I bought the same toilets from Wayfare with less costs (shipping included). They also came shattered but when I claimed for the refund, it was done right away on the same daty. I didn't need to return them, either - just disposed them as garbage. What a relief. In the end, I bought them from a local shop with more costs and picked them up by myself.

Powerful flush, easy to clean and looks great in my remodeled guest bathroom. Delivery came early and in perfect condition. I do love that it's a softer seat than my Kohler in the master bathroom. I bought this on purpose, since I wanted a softer seat. Fyi, it is a loud flush, but it's quick, so doesn't linger in sound.

It is a great quality toilet and the price was better with 100 CAD then many other places i found the same model available. It arrived very well packed in a thick layer of hefty bubble wrap. Very happy with the quality, delivery and price. Easy to install, everything fits nicely and it definitely flushes great with a smaller amount of water used. Got it as a replacement for an older Toto toilet (we wanted a different colour) and it seems to flush better then the one we had before.

Bought two of these Toto toilets (from Amazon) three years ago and have been exceedingly unhappy with them. Many times I meant to submit a review warning against them (for reasons to follow) but never did... until now, when I returned home after many hours away to find the toilet running all the time in my absence and using up a ton of water (which is expensive here in SC). Reason: in the tank there is a green cup to which the pull chain is anchored. (See pics) The cup acts as a plug for the outlet until it (the cup) is raised when the handle controlling the chain is pressed and the chain pulls it up. Then after the tank empties, the cup falls back to plug the outlet. At least that is how things are supposed to work. But inside the cup there is a little nub... a sort of ledge inside of it... on which the chain's little white collar (at the attachment point) gets hung up (about ten percent of the time) and keeps the cup from falling back down. So you have to wait around until the tank proves to refill properly or you have to take the top off the tank and inspect the cup apparatus directly before you leave the rest room in order to avoid a runaway water feed. Very annoying. And it appears to be a design flaw, not a fluke. How do I know? I bought TWO of these (pricey) for the master bath and the downstairs lav (while buying two less expensive... and it turns out absolutely flawless... Kohler 1-piece Santa Rosa toilets for two remaining guest bedroom baths). And BOTH of the Totos have the exact same flaw and problem. I've just been putting up but today, I neglected take the proper pains to keep the runaway water from happening and left the house for many hours, only to return to what will certainly prove a costly runaway. That's it. I've had it. Thought it's time for a review. And then there is this second issue: the glazing, which Toto represents as being super slippery and effective at managing the waste, so much so that they tell you not to use any traditional toilet bowl cleaner or brush for rear of damaging the glazing. Supposed to use only Dawn or some other mild detergent... and a silicon brush. Well, the Dawn certainly suds but a silicon toilet brush makes getting rid of waste matter spots difficult indeed. You need to rub and rub and rub... and sometimes just put on a glove and manually get rid of the remaining blotches. And you need to do this ALL the time because the toilet bowl just seems to grab on to the waste. So much for the special glazing. And oh yeah... one of the toilet seats came with an annoying squeak as it closed (softly). I did contact Toto about that right off the bat and they sent a replacement... which developed the same squeak a few months later. Had to disassemble the thing and lubricate its gear works to stop that. Meanwhile, the two Kohlers have always... always... evacuated the waste flawlessly. And you can use regular toilet bowl cleaner and bristle brush to clean them. And they cost considerably less. P. S. After writing and submitting this review, I suddenly had the thought of simply removing the collar on the pull chain to solve the problem of runaway water. It's just a plastic disk... and with a slit in it. Easily done. Surprise: next flush (without the collar on), the chain itself got hung up on the nub. Runaway tank filling ensued. My advice: skip the Toto.

Ordered two of these through Amazon. Both arrived broken. One had the tank and part of the seat shattered, while the other's base was broken. Until Amazon figures out a way to ship such items without damage, I think it would be highly inadvisable to purchase toilets from Amazon.
