My dog loves this toy. It is a great way to tucker out my dog if I’m limited on time and unable to take her to the dog park or on a long walk. When I go to get it & she sees it, she can hardly contain her excitement. It’s wonderful. I have ordered a replacement toy because mine got filthy and eventually after a year or so of play, it did break away from the long handle.

Here's the answer to indoor play! My 15-20 lb Cavachon loves to play Catch the Tail! I stand still in one 10x8ft space while flicking the tail back and forth to my right and to my left on the carpet and 10-15 inches above the carpet. She scrambles to catch it in her teeth. Every time she grabs it, I immediately stop flicking or pulling. She chews on the tail for 20-30 seconds (to prove she can I suppose!) and then drops it between her front feet. She figured out that I won't begin flicking it again until she lets it lay passive. I begin flicking it again but stop quickly if she bites so I don't jerk her teeth out. After 10 minutes, to end the game, I tell her "All done" and she drops the tail with relief because she's exhausted. I put the whip and tail away so she can't chew on it when we're not playing. She loves this game. The whip is so strong that it never wears out and so far I've never whipped over a lamp or broke anything in the house.

The item is very high quality and I can recommend as a great exercise option for your energetic small/medium dog. BEWARE as the pole is metal, my large breed dog came around unexpectedly and met the pole which resulted in a broken canine tooth. This was clearly my error, the dog was faster than I thought and I was swinging it too low. If you have kids or have never used one before, I'd suggest a pole made of a less durable material.

Oh my gosh why have I never bought one of these before. If you have a dog with prey drive or a puppy that you want to wear out this is your tool to do it with. My six month old Yorkie puppy is somewhat interested in fetching but not enough to get good exercise from it yet. This little toy is his favorite. I can play with him until he becomes tired but it doesn't wear me out too. He was a naughtily little boy aggravating his older siblings and getting into general mischief. Much of that has eased after getting this. Of course he's also maturing and behaving better in general but this type of play has helped more than anything else so far. My dogs are small and I find this sturdy and well made for their needs. I'm not sure how it would work with a large dog though. If they were to get a good hold on it in might snap. I mainly use it outside and the toy part is holding up very well. I love it.

Can’t say it lasts forever cuz I just got it but it does seem durable enough to last. My 17lb boys took to it immediately, so well that I thought I’d leave this review as I am here to purchase another one so I can get both boys going together without them chasing/fighting over the same one lol! I actually think I’ll keep one in the truck for park runs and one at home for the yard. It’s true! They wear out way faster than I do! Only thing, I find myself spinning in a circle and getting dizzy lol it’s not good for someone with vertigo… I learned pretty quickly to just swing it over and around my head. Different ways of playing with it… they love it even when it’s not moving and they just chew on it. Handle might be heavy for some with smaller/weaker wrists, otherwise I appreciate how sturdy it is. Retract in if it’s too much with it all the way, reduces tension on your wrist. Maybe I’ll update with posting a video idk we’ll see. I recommend you try this though. It is a good time waiting to be had for you and pup (or any other animal you play with) bonding time. Remember, it’s getting hot. Don’t play too long/hard and keep water and shade nearby. Enjoy.

The pole works to help entertain the dog and me. The issue with it, is when the pole extends the twist to lock feature isn’t that great. You can’t tell if it is securely locked and sometimes the end collapses. For almost $20 I expected a bit better quality. It does the job, you just need to fiddle around with it to make sure it secures, there is no lock or click, you just have to try to twist and see if it is solid. In the end it works and the dog has fun. Also it comes with two different ropes so once your dog destroys one you have another. A really good toy hours of fun, quality is a 7 out of 10. I still recommend it if you get it a deal on it.

This toy is amazing! My red heeler will play with it until I get tired. She has a ton of energy and this helps burn it off without having to leave the yard!

Doesn't work to help get my dog excited to chase anything we have tied to it!!! I've had cats and thought it would be similar. My cats would love to chase things like this around the house as I would wiggle it and toss it back and forth. NOPE, my 2.5 year old 55 lb Catahoula, high energy (a herding hunting breed) was NOT interested in it. She does want to chase any live animals squirrels, cats, dogs, even birds.. walking on leash she'll even lunge up for a crow flying trying to catch it. So bought this thinking I could exercise her in the house since it had so many good reviews. Unfortunately she was not interested, not fun for her. We even attached a stuffed squirrel (her fav) and THEN attached freaking SALAMI to the squirrel! She chased it once or twice and then walked away. Now it's just sitting in her dog toy bin and I have regret every time I look at it. Waste of money, don't recommend! She'd rather run around at the dog park and socialize, sniff, etc. We were out of town for 3 weeks and now cannot return it.

My cocker spaniel is chasing the rope like crazy. Is his preferred toy and Is a great way to exercise him. After few runs he sleeps like a baby. I wish it was a little bit longer.

Such a crappy product not only took a long time to be delivered but the product itself is totally different from the one on the website.
