Have not had any problems with these spikes. My son runs varsity track, and he has registered no complaints; and we’ve not had to change them out. I check them before each track meet to ensure they don’t require changing. No issues thus far.

Will these work for golf shoes?

I don't think so. Golf shoes spikes are somewhat different now.
