Picked up an old leather Calloway bag and would have sworn it was manufactured GREY. Wiped it down when I got home to find some really neglected black leather, so decided to give this kit a try. Cleaned, applied a couple coats of balm, then ran it over twice with the Mink oil, and the bag looks BRAND F****NG NEW. You could practically watch the leather drink it all in. This stuff suited my needs perfectly, and I can't recommend it enough.Beware: The black is DESIGNED TO STAIN, so I recommend some clothes you're not worried about, and a different set of gloves than the ones included.

Used for worn leather jacket and it looks like new! Very pleased with product.

Notes on pictures:1. Pre treatment, couch is scratched from a bad kitty2. Cleaned with wet rag. Leather has some healing properties when you clean it, the edges of the scratches smooth out a bit. Looks a lot better already.3. Spread the balm4. Wait several hours and wipe off the excess. Mine left swirl marks as shown in 3 that would not come out, so I used a moist rag to wipe it. That cleaned up nicely and quite a bit of the excess came off on my rag when it was moist.The end result looks much better and I'm satisfied with the product. The scratches are not noticeable from a distance, you need to get very close to see the imperfections now. The whole process takes quite a bit of effort to apply enough pressure to do the job though.

I have a fairly expensive black leather chair that looks great, but some of the color on the insides of the arms wore off from use.This kit is easy to use. I went over the damaged area with IPA to rove any grease or oil and then applied the restore cream. I didn't care for the included applicators, so I used a new shoe polish applicator....the one with plastic handle and the round foam.As I was applying the first coat you could almost see it being absorbed into the leather. I allowed it to dry thoroughly and then applied a light second coat. I could have stopped there, but I did apply an extremely light third coat. After allowing it to dry overnight I applied a leather protective coating sold for car interiors. The restoration is virtually invisible and is holding up well. Rubbing the area with a white cloth results in no color transfer whatsoever.This kit works well on black leather and is easy to use. Good quality results.

I suggest following the instructions and applying it to a smaller area before applying it to a larger one because the colors need to match. For my application, it worked and light scratches filled with this and doesn't show any more annoying look.

Nice kit. All you need is included. I wish the applicators were larger but they got the job done. Took some work but got my black couch looking respectable again.

I used this leather recoloring balm on my black purse that had a scratch on it that was noticeable, but after I applied the black leather balm and mink oil I can’t see it anymore. I applied the balm first and let it dry overnight to make sure the color was dry before applying the mink oil then I buffed the mink oil on gently because I wasn’t sure if the color would rub off as I was applying the oil, but it didn’t, and now I can’t even notice that a scratch was even there. I’m going to use this on my leather car seats next. This is a great product for making worn leather look new again.

I used these with other sofa care products, because the sofa was so damaged and looks to tired.The colour is great, I used several layer on to filler then colour matched.The cream is great too. Now the sofa looks so beautiful. Thank you.

Easy to use, although the instructions are a little difficult to follow.Clean, dry then wipe with isopropyl apply the balm, wipe off the excess and job done!The results are better than expected!

This is what happened on opening this item, completely ruined my worktop t shirt & socks with the dye going everywhere. Totally disgusted with this!!!
