Leigh D4R Pro 24" Dovetail Jig w/Accessory Kit

I had an old Porter Cable jig I purchased over 20 years ago that I used from time to time for smaller jobs. It was very finicky to set up and did an OK job of cutting pins and slots for dove tail drawers. On larger jobs that required DT drawers I would just out source as it was too time consuming to do larger orders with the Porter-Cable jig. This jig is amazing! I was able to cut all the pins and slots for the drawers pictured in a few hours. A bit of a learning curve, but once you read through the very intuitive manual it is relatively easy to set up. This thing is definitely a game changer for my shop. Incredibly accurate fitting dove tails and the shopvac attachment I got with mine does a very good job at collecting 90% of the mess. If your looking into doing your own DT drawers, don't waste your money on the competition's jigs, they simply do not measure up!

Really great product. Read the manual and watch the many videos and then practice on scrap. The manual recommends recording your setting once you have a working joint. That's great advice and a micrometer helps as the joints are that precise.

Might be OK for very light use, plastic pieces break easily. Definitely not a professional tool. Very disappointed. I do not recommend this product if you are a professional woodworker.

The Leigh jigs are the absolute best in class you can buy. Instruction manual is awesome. I upgraded from an old porter cable jig
