Amazing paint but their clear coat is terrible!
Paint has absolutely amazing coverage and workability. It self-levels nicely for minimal brush strokes. Color is rich and beautiful! Finish is durable. But…Do not top coat with their Country Chic clear unless you want to ruin your project!!! Instead, go buy some Mod Podge and mix with it with water to a thin paint-like consistency.

Perfect for my project
The media could not be loaded. I have had this cabinet for awhile, and it is very sturdy and in great shape but I just didn't love it anymore. Enter Hollow Hill from Country Chic chalk paint 🥰 So easy to use, and transformed my furniture into something I cannot stop staring at. I feel like I have new furniture! Thank you!

Great paint but…
You will not get the results you see in the advertised photos of refinished furniture without the country chic sealant wax. That’s not why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. The paint is thick, not as “forgiving” as other reviewers have said. Large flat surfaces needed a roller finish coat even after using chalk paint brushes. It’s advertised as self leveling but at least for me, a roller top coat was needed to hide brush strokes. You can also see how much richer the color gets when you use the country chic sealant wax. It adds dimension and shine besides protection. The green color was pretty but dull without the wax.

Great color, adds interesting texture, don’t use matte spray or poly finish
I used about half the tub to cover these cabinet walls that are about 14”x30”. The color is beautiful, though a bit lighter than I expected. The texture it gives is really interesting. It’s a sort of velvety matte. The one issue is with durability — I have to be pretty careful with moving it. It tends to scuff easily but I think that’s intentional. If you want to protect it, I wouldn’t recommend any general clear sprays, like matte or poly, because it changed the texture/finish of the paint that makes it so interesting. I didn’t try the clear coat from this brand, so can’t speak to that. As a decorative paint, I highly recommend it!

beautifulllll colour - definitely needs a top coat
I used a whole pint (two coats) to get the even coverage I was looking for and it turned out beautifully. Super easy to use paint. It dries really quickly so I recommend doing one side at a time to avoid brush strokes and get the most out of the product. I made the mistake of not using a top coat before dusting/cleaning with a wood cleaner and it removed some of the product. Definitely get a top coat if you want that clean finished look!
